Drove through those neighborhoods and must be amazing living in the hills. Its so exclusive too. Some of them i couldent drive by because theirs a gate and private property. How do those brahs afford those houses? no way all of those houses belong to celebs or athletes? is it just inherited money? trust fund babies? how does a officel afford to?

The homes that are nice, but older, are typically owned by regular upperclass families (doctors, lawyers, real estate entrepreneurs) that bought them 30/40 years ago.
The ones that are built with brand new construction are typically for the ultra-rich, Chinese foreigners, Arab Foreigners, and celebrities.

This. My college ex-gf lived in Bel Air. Her dad was a lawyer and the rest of the family was pretty well off. Their house was quite nice and big but not over the top. Bought it in the 90's for about $800k.
Most homes, at least in Bel Air aren't all mega mansions. For a successful upper-middle class person, they could afford it. I wouldn't want to live there though, pretty overrated. Though they had a big house, the back yard was pretty small and driving those narrow, winding roads every day were a bitch, not to mention dealing with the traffic jams once you get out to Sunset. If I was that wealthy, I'd rather live in PV/Rolling Hills.
