There are plenty of average/below average looking guys who have relationships and normal social lives. In fact that is the vast majority of the general population.

What sets FA average/below average looking guys apart from normal average/below average looking guys is their personality. Introverted or socially awkward or “weird” etc.

If they had a fun outgoing normal social personality they could have overcome their average/below average looks and get an average/below average gf and a normal social life as well.

Yes personality matters a lot, but I kind of disagree with your post. You can have the best personality but if you have no way to meet new people, what good is that going to do you?

Agree, and I don't drink much so I rarely go to bars. I don't even like going to bars to socialize with girlfriends because they're loud, you can't hear and I get tired of shouting to be heard. It's just not enjoyable for me.

I feel your pain OP. It's really hard to meet new people organically once you're out of school. I'm not in a female dominated field and I work for a big company and it's still pretty difficult to meet new guys that I would be interested in at work. The only way to meet people anymore seems to be online dating and I'm just not interested. BTDT and hate it.

I think you should get a part time job in the service industry. Retail or restaurant. It's great for social skills and it is a way to meet new people.

Yeah buzzkill is a good way to describe it. It's also very hard to be around them when talking about drinking or when they are drinking when you are sober. You are just a buzzkill by default.

You do realize that even if you meet a girl through friends in any kind of social environment she probably goes to bars and has a Tinder account. If you're going to refuse to date anyone who goes on Tinder or visits bars and gets drunk you're being a bit silly.

Also there's no logic behind "You can't meet quality women in X place". You can meet the girl of your dreams getting drunk in a bar, or the biggest **** in the world studying hard in a library. Just use your own judgement when you meet someone...

I'm a loner myself, I prefer it that way most of the time. Being social drains my energy physically and emotionally. That being said, in order for me to be successful in my career I must be very social and have high energy, it's expected of me and it's typically opposite of my demeanor. It's forced me to become social, since I never was.
