If you have an AR type rifle, maybe you can use the lower receiver in a pistol build, and maybe you can't, depending on the history of that lower receiver.
You can hold two Aero Precision lower receivers in your hands, both purchased legally by you, one can be used to build a pistol, the other can't. Then you can assemble both into complete identical rifles, and again, one of the receivers can then be used to make a pistol and the other can't. Don't pick the wrong one because you forgot which was transferred which way. BTW, somebody asked above, how do you even verify how that particular lowre receiver was transferred? What if you bought it FTF without an FFL? The whole thing is a complicated cluster ****. For me, and my CYA advice, just don't take a receiver from a rifle to build a pistol...use a pistol lower or a virgin Other lower.

Actually, the next-next paragraph is even more interesting
"Held, a firearm, as defined by the National Firearms Act (NFA), 26 U.S.C.
5845(a)(3), is made when unassembled parts are placed in close proximity in such a way
that they:
(a) Serve no useful purpose other than to make a rifle having a barrel or barrels of
less than 16 inches in length (e.g., a receiver, an attachable shoulder stock, and
barrel of less than 16 inches in length); or
(b) Convert a complete weapon into such an NFA firearm, including –
(1) A pistol and attachable shoulder stock; and
- 4 -
(2) A rifle with a barrel of 16 inches or more in length, and an attachable barrel
of less than 16 inches in length.
Such weapons must be registered and are subject to all requirements of the NFA"

Perhaps you forgot about yesterday
It's not difficult to end up with a rifle whose lower you eventually forget or wrongfully-remember (or never knew for private party) the transfer status of

Man, the Resolution Rushtm started early this year. Gym was packed before and after work yesterday, and lots of new faces this morning. Which means a profound degradation in locker room cleanliness and gym etiquette to start the year. Towels and cups everywhere, locker doors left open, dropping weights, machines not wiped down, etc. If you're new to the environment at least learn the etiquette, which is mostly common sense. I'll give it a few days before I start correcting these fools.

I haven't been back to the gym since I broke that bone in my neck. I think I'll probably try and go after we move. But I can still tell the cervical extensor muscles still normal. Not painful, but lifting stuff in front still feels weird, almost like they are straining more than usual.

G43x and G48 is a disappointment. 43x basically a factory made mag extender now limiting the option for smaller profile. Would rather have 43 and get the extender for the option. 48 is basically just 43x frame with 19 slide length.

And then you continue reading the paragraph to get to the underlined point. Having all of the parts necessary to build a pistol (i.e. a pistol brace) means the parts DO serve a useful purpose other than to create a rifle with a barrel under 16" - to create a pistol. If all you have is a short barreled upper and shoulder stocks or a completed rifle and a short lower as described in (1) and (2) in your inventory, you might have a bad time. That's always been the case.

AR 15 vs 9MM Carbine
Hey guys,
Just have a few guns on hand, I really like having the ammo versatility but I am wondering if a 9MM is anything close to a .223 in performance...
Looking to buy a Beretta CX4 Storm or a Ruger AR 15,
Thoughts?
