Doesn't even matter how many animals are killed, it's a logical fallacy. The production of meat requires far more crops being grown than any "vegan food" crop. So that being said, unless you're a breatherian, your new option should now become which causes the least harm, which obviously favors the vegan option.
Veganism is honestly the ultimate litmus test for logic and intellectual honesty and 99% of people fail completely because people are ****ing retarded.

A pet peeve of mine is when people put too much faith in logic, that's why I'm writing the following...
Do you know what David Hume's is-ought problem is?
Essentially you can't derive a prescription from a description, or an imperative from a value judgement, logically.
The foundation of any ethical framework is sentiment based, not logically based.
Logic just guides consistency and non-contradiction, can't create ethical objectives.
Your argument isn't logic based, your 'should' has no foundation in logic, it's based in sentiment. If You Don't Like To Talk About Your Feelings, This Might Help...

I was a meat-eater for years who agreed with vegans like Vegan Gains. You cannot argue with his logic and knowledge. Meat-eaters are living in the past. The ONLY reason they still eat it is because of 1. Taste, 2. Convenience, and 3. Habit. It's killing them and everything else and putting animals through indescribable suffering that surpasses any human tragedy ever its insane. Animal agriculture is the biggest contributor to environmental damage by FAR. Just how self-absorbed can one be?
ZERO excuse for it with the wealth of information we have these days. The same people who argue for continued meat-eating and animal slavery are the same types who'd have owned human slaves in the past.
Seeing Gary Yourofsky's speech below, followed by Earthlings I haven't eaten animals since. It's been a year and a half now. Best choice I ever made by far.
And for the *******s who just don't care, Atherosclerosis ain't no joke. But it's usually deserved

We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form.

Why are vegans so angry? Makes me think they'd be calmer and happier after a nice bacon sandwich.

I don't have compassion issues with eating meat, but I have issues with those few farms that act like psychopaths with their animals. In a perfect meat-eating world we'd allow cattle to live healthy, unabused lives before using them for sustenance.

I'm vegan and would not have a problem with eggs if they were actually ethical. What egg industry is ethical? Hope you're not talking about "free-range". And for people to have home-grown hens to lay eggs there needs to be a demand to reproduce hens. But what about the male chicks? They're usually gassed or thrown into a grinder alive. None of this is ethical which is why I don't eat eggs.
I'm still undecided on oysters and things like mussels. They're closer to plant non-sentience than anything so I don't (until further knowledge) think it's a problem to eat them. But I've not heard enough on that to make a decision either way yet
I see most of the arguments against veganism ITT are through ignorance or not thinking their replies through enough. And we're the one's who get called illogical..We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form.

Your response makes no sense. You posted your views. I called you out on your cringeworthy post.
You look like absolute sh*t for a "wild animal" lol
Thanks bro. No, it's a myth that you can't build muscle on a vegan diet. I can get plenty of the same macros and complete nutrients in on a vegan diet. Absolutely zero Ill-effects on strength or progress in the gym. I was surprised too because I went in assuming the worst. We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form.

*Few farms.*
99% of meat in your country is factory farmed. Also, do some research on how much resources it actually takes to produce "grass-fed beef." It's completely unrealistic and downright impossible to fulfull modern meat demands with that method of production. Your delusional fantasy is hilarious.
