I primarily shoot with an x-pro2. I have a 12mm, 56mm and 50-140mm. Thinking about getting the 35mm and 16mm 1.4s next as well as an x-t2 so I can wield dual cameras for the weddings. The reason I was asking about FF cameras is that there are some shots that I want to shoot with a shallower DoF and the aps-c sensor from the Fuji simply can't give it to me. So I wanted to know what FF cameras people were using so that I could weight the pro's and con's of each system (because **** online reviews).
So far I've gathered this:
Nikon: amazing DR, cheap but high quality primes, affordable FF camera with Dual card slots.
Canon: excellent glass, dual pixel auto focus (with the 5D IV), possibility to use said lenses with canon's C line videocameras.
Sony: FF 4k (or super 35 depending on the camera), eye tracking AF, accurate AF, ability to adapt almost every lens.
IQ wise it seems they are all on par with each other so, again, I wanna know what people love/hate about their cameras so that I can make a decision (probably in april/may 2017)."I want...I can...I will" - toe-pickin' guitar player Tony Melendez

It the focal ratio of the focal length and maximum aperture size. A larger aperture will let more light in and gives a shallower depth of field. As KRANE said, low numbers are called "fast" lenses. Shooting a fast lens at its maximum aperture is how people get blurry background in portraits.
The 90mm F/2 will give you a shallower DoF. Have you look at a DoF calculator to see what kind of difference you'll actually get? In lots of situations, you're only going to get a difference of a few centimeters.

What kind of lighting do you own?

Good luck, man. I bought the Sigma 50-150 f2.8 a few years ago brand new, and the damn focusing motor (I think they call it HSM or something like that) stopped working with less than 200 shots with it. This happened during a wedding I was shooting too. Love that focal range and the fast aperture, but Sigma never again.

This. Was seriously thinking about updating to the MK IV for its video auto focus capability but then the negative reviews. Let us know what you think.
In other news, I spoke with my former instructor the other day and he scolded me for not putting up more content. NY resolution: prepare for a photo video fool come 2017.i feel i have been missing out using the Canon 24-105L all along.🎥

Looking to purchase an entry level-ish dslr and wouldn't mind some of your opinions w/regards to a few cameras. I'm looking at the Pentax K-50, Nikon D5500, and the Canon EOS 750d. I'll mostly be using it for family functions, the ocassional vacation, and some outdoor/scenic shooting. Do any of the three listed stand head and toe above the rest, or are they going to deliver about the same picture/video quality across the board?
Thanks for any input

The Pentax is going to be terrible for video. The Canon and Nikon will be fairly comparable. For video, the flippy screen on the Canon will be nice to have.
That said, I'd recommend the Panasonic Lumix G7. It will take superior video compared to the other cameras. It's a small mirrorless micro 4/3 camera. No one wants to haul around a heavy camera sight seeing on vacation or going for a hike. The G7 with 2 primes, a zoom, and extra battery will be around 2 pounds and taking up very little space. The same setup with a APS-C DSLR is going to come in around 5 pounds, and will add a noticeable amount of bulk.
As for family functions, you're going to need to learn how to take photos in low light. All of the cameras are going to struggle with low light in auto mode. I would suggest taking the time to learn the basics of how to manually control your exposure, getting a monopod/tripod, and some off camera lighting. Having and understanding how to use some off camera lighting will get better results than any camera you can buy. Learn to bounce a flash off ceilings and walls. Get a cheap light stand and softbox.
