Maybe because the first cop realized it wasn't an attack threat.
You still ignored my post where the screenshot that he took the pistol out while the first cop pulled his baton out, a full 4 seconds before the dog ran out.
He got trigger happy a full 4 seconds before the dog even ran out, while the first cop simply pulled out his baton at the same time."While I don't mind being alone......It doesn't mean I always want to be alone."
"We all have our time machines, don't we? Those that take us back are memories...And those that carry us forward, are dreams."
"All I want is to have my normal, peaceful life. A peaceful life with everyone around me, just as always."
"Reality is cruel......"
"There is nothing that you can acquire without making a move on your own."
"No one knows what the future holds. That's why its potential is infinite."

So what is trigger happy? The "justified" shooting of a docile elderly dog laying down in its yard? The "justified" murder of a random black/latino/white whatever dude minding his business near your foot patrol? How about that dude u would "justifiably" kill bc he went to toss his cigarette out at a traffic stop?
You're scum and so are all your buddies, idc if ur a patrolman, chief of police, user or mod, law enforcement needs an overhaul bc it's just a matter of time until people fight back boyo. Police states don't work for long.

lol we're not jerking each other off. I don't think I've even replied to a single one of his comments. don't get butthurt that you're finally realizing you're wrong.
It's is most certainly trigger happy when you have your gun drawn before the dog is even visible. Which I suspected, but didn't want to say for fear of being wrong. but now another miscer has proved it.
so you admit everything you've said is just nonsense.

what exactly have you posted to back up? proof that he was within his legal rights to do so? Guess what, white folks were within their legal rights to use slaves, so that makes it okay. we should all readopt slavery, because at one point it was legal, and thus justified
fuking potato, i swear
agree to disagree. discussing the topic and understanding who was in the wrong can help prevent it from happening again. If this had blown up on the same level as Jimmy Fallon rubbing trumps head, you can bet something would have changed, or at the very least, police conduct around dogs would be reviewed

well thats ok, I'll check back on this story in a couple months and see how it transpires.
There was another story sometime last year where a black lady with a bunch of kids was traveling across New Mexico got pulled over. One thing lead to another and she was speeding off away from the cop as the cop started shooting at the car (a car full of kids) in an attempt to "shoot out the tires"
As expected, the misc LEO's chimed in saying that what he did was justified and "play stupid games" and yaddi yaddi yadda. Well, come to find out, that cop was fired for that stunt....a stunt that a bunch of fellow LEO's were okay with.

ITP someone too stupid to realize sarcasm does not carry over text.
ITP someone too stupid to realize what level of force is appropriate to deal with a domesticated animal
ITP someone who ignores all legitimate rebuttals and just repeats the same sht over and over, while accusing others of doing the same
ITP someone you should seriously run from if you seem them coming, that way the only way to get shot is in the back, and thus not your fault
ITP someone who would find a way to "justify" shooting someone in the back anyway

You're kidding right? We actually agree on the fact that the shooting was legally justified. Where we disagree is whether the officer made the correct decision and whether it was morally justified. The officer absolutely made the wrong decision, and the fact that the first officer simply pulled his baton out is nearly proof enough, coupled with the fact that the second officer unholstered his sidearm almost immediately. It indicates his monumental escalation of force when unnecessary.
It's funny you **** on the first officer for not reacting when the whole thing happened so fast he probably didn't have time anyway, and on top of that like other posters have said he most likely didn't see it as such a huge threat.
I see your position and empathize but at the end of the day both logically and morally it was the wrong decision UNLESS we are under the assumption deadly force should be used arbitrarily in any situation where any bodily harm is a possibility. Which of course is ludicrous. Why not just accept the fact the officer overreacted?"Why lift when it's all about the face?" - Isaac Newton's Fourth Law

Every dog that has attacked someone has had to two explanations by the owners or advocates (1) The dog was an angel, it would never harm someone well it did. (2) The owner was a ****ty owner what? how do you know that? Good parents don't always raise good kids, may be an indicator but it is not definitive. Cops have to assume the worst. They have to treat all situations equally. The don't have the mental capacity to reason through every outcome, they just have to think of the absolute worst outcome and act based on that. therefore it is the owner's fault not the cops.
