Still having trouble posting images

So I went through the "How to post embedded images" instructions a few times, and I created and Imageshack account and followed the instructions (though some things that were described, I didn't see) as closely as possible, but it didn't work for me. Did imageshack change things up? I'm still confused as to how to do it...even how to post pictures in links.

I'm sorry, I'm really slow. Can someone please break it down in simple terms?

you have to find an image jpg and place it between [img] and [/img]

If you want to see how it is done click the reply button on any post with a picture and you can see the coding and the way it is used (for example: click reply on my post here and you'll see the coding I've used)
