Well, since the requirements are red and thin width, they can't be THAT much different. Considering how much cheaper Rogue's bumpers are vs. Eleiko, I would hope the PL discs are also more affordable.
It's about time there's a competitor on PL plates. I know Titan tried to join the fray but swung and missed with an ugly stick.Garage Gym Owner

My thoughts exactly. I'm happy with my Rogue comp bumpers and they are very similar to the Eleiko plates but are a fraction of the cost. Looking at the 25KG plates you're looking at $295/pair from Rogue vs. $738/pair (WL comp) or $638/pair (training) from Eleiko.
I'm betting the Rogue PL plates will definitely be cheaper and be of similar quality.||---|| Rogue Barbell Club #36 ||---||

I assume you mean the ones used at the Arnold. I doubt it - they don't even put any of the comp-used Oly bars in the closeout section. Most of their higher priced items they just keep using at different comps. Then they'll only close out games-used Ohio/Bella bars, the Crossfit games plates with the year on them, and then some of the more random implements (sand bags, wheelbarrows, etc.).

See this for the comparison. The extra length and smaller diameter are the big elements. I'm surprised the sleeve length has been dropped to 15.5". I would have thought they would have gone in the opposite direction.
Edit: Not that it really matters for me...I don't have to worry about fully loading a 15.5" sleeve in my lifetime.

smaller diameter is the only benefit I see here... not sure why they'd lengthen the bar but shrink the sleeves. i was expecting more of a mini elephant bar when i heard about the DL bar. id rather have an operator, froning, etc bar that's 28.5 and the same 190 tensile just for the extra sleeve space for a bit cheaper.

Can I haz access to this club?
I just pulled the trigger on a whole home gym setup (power rack, adjustable bench, bumpers, bars, treadmill) which includes the Westside Power Bar, TB-2 Trap Bar, and the 2.0 Training Bumper Plates. My Rogue haul should be here within a week.
And now I'm broke....Snapchat/Instagram: Mimsthe3rd

Deadlift bar does look nice, hard to say if it's going to be as good as the TDB though.
I've got some experience with the Rogue Ohio Bars and personally I prefer my TPB.
I do like that the deadlift bar is offered in bare steel though, and it's hard to argue with that price point. I live in a humid environment, so it requires more upkeep but I'm really looking to get more raw steel barbells in my gym and the rogue bar fits that bill.
Hopefully, we'll get some reviews up here soon.()---() York Barbell Club #76 (RH) ()---()

does anyone know the length between the knurling of the texas deadlift bar? i kinda wish the Rogue DL bar had knurling that extends further towards the center for sumo deadlifts, instead of being wider. i guess that's to protect peoples' legs for conventional pulling though.
not that, you know, i need a DL bar...Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House
