I get it, he made music a lot of people like, but WTF at all this coverage? Everywhere I look on TV, there's either a news report or a program dedicated to his "greatness". It's been like 2 days now, the man was an ex alcoholic and drug addict, and he ends up getting liver cancer, WHAT A SURPRISE. People weeping on the street? How pathetic are they? Get a grip you bunch of *******s. A real tragedy is what happened in Istanbul today, not a rock star worth 600 million dying at a fairly old age from something which was mostly self induced.
All in all, news outlets, please get back to reporting things that MATTER, not this bull$hit.

No you cannot. music is soo relative to a given time period.
When we are in our 60s complementary will not understand how Kanye West shaped the culture.
Marilyn Monroe.
to us she just a slut who took slutty pics. but she actually revolutionized the female role in that period. it was not ok for females to be comfortable in a sexual way. I know this BUT I STILL cannot understand it cus i just didnt lived tru that.
When Michelangelo painted the Sistine chapel. to us is like.. yeah its coool or w.e
but people were mindblown about how he used oil in a way not done in that scale.

As soon as I saw the title of this thread I figured it was made by a teenager and look I was right.
The guy hasn't been dead for 48 hours, and you already see fit to whine about hearing about it too much. I am not a David Bowie nuthugger but he had a few good songs IMO.
Wait till you lose someone close and see how long it takes to get over their death. HINT: Its more than 48 hours you cry baby.
It feels like a long time to you its because you probably spend 22 hrs a day on the internet in your moms basement. A lot of people have busy productive lives and don't always get a chance to read a news item as soon as it is reported, so it ends up staying around longer than your pathetic attention span. Also, David Bowie basically invented POP music so he was a big deal, love him or hate him.
Grow up you baby midget

David Bowie's family and friends will grieve and rightly so, but if you just like his music you are not "close" to him. We have a refugee crisis on a scale which hasn't been seen since WW2, a global terrorist threat (which killed another 10 people today), the consequences of climate change on our doorstep, amongst other serious issues that need coverage, but people like yourself think a famous musician's death is more newsworthy. Fuking LOL
