    Checking in.

    Went from a 2007 A4 B7 2.0L CVT (yuck) to a 2010 A4 B8 2.0TFSI S-line Quattro S-tronic within two months - done 50k kms/30k miles. Glad I did.

Loving the car, especially the S-line sports suspension and the S-tronic tranny - never going back to a manual after driving this. Thought about the APR tune to push 290+ HP on 98 octane - anyone done a stage 1 on the B8 A4 here? How's it holding up?

Thought this would be enough to satisfy my needs, but already find myself looking at the B8.5 S4. That 3.0T V6 looks/sounds awesome. Bloody cheap to import in from UK too... so hard not to pull the trigger, drop the $35k, and sell this A4 off. I feel this cycle will continue until I get my hands on the RS7.

Chit pic, but I'm not one to take 350 pics of my car on a daily basis/post on ******** etc etc.

Congrats on the B8. Also thought about getting the APR stage 1 but think im not going to invest any more money into mine since i plan on searching for an s5 within the next 6 months. All the ppl on vortex and audizine have nothing but good feedback about the tune.
Also keep a few coils packs on hand or upgrade to the R8 coil packs from ECS tunning

Not sure how I feel about the b9 lights and grille IRL now, kind of prefer the 8.5 aesthetics

I guess we'll see soon enough if it's really worth waiting for the b9 s4

I agree. B8.5 had it right. The B9 looks too much like the pseudo Astin Martin front end that you see on the Ford Fusion. Makes my stomach churn.

Im probably one of the few that prefers the B8 to the B8.5. Just love the B8 headlight LEDs compared to the straight lines of the 8.5.

great, thanks for that - now I can't unsee a fusion whenever I look at the new face

the 8 is a beautiful car but 8.5 was almost perfection imo bar some slight re balancing of the angles of the lights/grill and the bland side profile. they didn't address anything and those new lights look silly the more I look at them

saw a new A6 in the flesh and it was gaudy AF too

I have an A4 B8 on APR Stage 2+ with a downpipe. Should be 291 HP/358 TQ at the crank on 93 Octane. (Roughly 252 AWHP). It is holding up just fine. No transmission jarring or issues yet and I drive my car hard.

The launch control is insane. If you do it before your transmission gets too hot and launch at over 3k RPM it will rip you back like you're going downhill a roller coaster. Buddy of mine wasn't paying attention when I did it and it whipped his neck back and his phone flew into the back seat.

Absolute blast to drive. Worth the $200 DP and $600 program.

damn, that's pretty pricey , but 500 is awesome if that's whp???

I don't see any 0-60 or other times for it in that thread, but I wish Audi would have made the B9 S4 400 at stock.

Installed new lights! Also got rid of the front license plate holder, good thing I had the bumper off to install the headlights cause it was stuck in there good.

Took me 4 hours to do the headlights and tails and vinyl wrap the front VW emblem, front bumper is such a pain in the ass when you're working on your own. Still gotta wrap the back emblem and the mirror caps, ran out of time today.

    good price IMO.

However as a B8 bro i would encourage you to look into getting yourself into an S. If youre the type of person that does not modify cars and doesnt care about performance, disregard me an get the A5.
I got the A4 thinking its plenty and it will be the "family" car that the wife can also use. Now less than a year later im super bored and looking at S5s. Im sure ill go back to a B8 S4 or even A4 once kids come into the picture but for now 2 doors and 8 cylinders is what i need

Definitely considered that, but living in Chicago. I rather have an A5 get dinged than an S5. I know 2.0t def. won't be enough

This, the b8 a4 has very low Tuning potential after stage 2. I was very surprised that only a k04 is being offered for stage 3. There aren't many builds either on AZ which sucks.

I was going to buy a 2012 avant but just no, that engine

assume by now everyones seen the 2017 s4, imo it looks worse than the s-line A4

I really really want to like this but just can't, maybe in person it looks nice but it'll have to be a major performance and MPG boost to pick this over a CPO 8.5

    fcks sake
