You look like a completely different person! So much healthier and a much better color to your face than before!
Watched the whole vid.
A little worried that you are giving too much emphasis on your "WB persona." You were someone before--but maybe not the person you wanted to be.
You are a lovable, wonderful person who is giving inspiration to more people than I can even imagine...but you have always been a lovable, wonderful person...maybe the world didn't know before!
You're right about learning moderation when you go out. I am hoping more Misc'ers have some good advice for you.
I appreciate your honest and authentic videos and posts.
Keep on truckin'.

Great job as always. I think you can learn a lot from these past few weeks/month. We all knew that the weight would melt off in the beginning. But now you're at a point where you need to be more careful. The weight isn't just going to melt off by the 10s and 20s all the time now. Now you have a taste of what it's like to have a social life while trying to meet your fitness goals. Just take all these slip ups and learn from them. You still got this man. It's just not going to be as easy. Keep trucking man. We're all here for the long haul.

WETTY. You have no idea how happy I am to see that you've finally gotten to sub-300. I've been in and out of here since the first page of the first thread. I have to admit that back then I supported you, but I had my doubts about your determination. SO SO glad that you've proven me wrong in these two short years. You are an incredible inspiration for every bodybuilder, fat or slim, on these forums. Whether or not your progression continues as planned, remember that it's all about you. We're all here to see you succeed. Have an amazing week, dude.

Decided to go down memory lane and read your OP and then the OP in this thread. Time to update those current cliffs
I have watched those my 600 lb life and biggest loser shows and what always gets me is that they are looking for a quick fix and in most cases even after gastric bypass or being in the public eye they gain the weight back. There is a psychological component to being overweight but they think the weight loss will cure it. It never does. What I see here is a man who has essentially changed his mentality AS he's losing weight. By the end of this I really hope you understand what this journey has meant not just physically but emotionally to who you are. You have pulled on the feels of many here and I can speak for most when I say it's the attitude changes and unrelenting drive to succeed is why we are cheering for you not the number on the scale every few weeks. WB was a persona through all of this and helped the process. It's time to forget WB and be yourself again. Great job Jesse.

Now you're firmly under 300. Good deal. Keep going.
If I can do this, so can you.
Inspiration may come from others, but motivation must come from within.

I've been following you ever since day one. Great progress man, srs.
You should be on some talk TV show and write a book. The masses need to be aware of this once your achieve your final form ( srs ).
EDIT: Are you going to get loose skin removal surgery any time soon? I think insurance would actually cover it in your case. If not, I'm sure you can set up a crowd fund. Look into Reddit, they are very generous with this kind of thing. You deserve it.

Not encouraging you to cheat, but I think maybe it helped you. I'm sure after dieting for long periods of time like you have, your body could use the breaks. I'm sure just knowing now that you can take some time off and get back on the wagon with minimal/no damage has got to be pretty motivating.

that makes two of us, and thanks, I shall try
If I did have an identiy back then it was one filled with nothing but bitterness and negativity. Certainly no one that fits your far too kind description, but it is appreciated none-the-less. I almost feel like the wetty identity was a rebirth of sorts. If that makes sense. I at some point will need to exist beyond it, I know. Baby steps I suppose.
Authentic and honest vids are the least I can do. Its what inadvertently saved my life, certainly can't abandon it now!
that really means a lot to me and excellent post, thank you friend
certainly won't stop now!
suffice it to say I have made respectable gains in all aspects
I am working on something at the moment and as for skin surgery I am going to make a plan with a surgeon after I lose maybe 30-50 more lbs and then get an estimate of what it will cost, what may or may not be covered, and get some good information and then only as a last resort, I will move on to possible crowdfunding. I do realize how generous and amazing everyone here is and has been but of course its not something I would want to burden others with if there are other options
Yeah, I never know what to make of the effects it has on my body. Sometimes it punishes me, other times it doesn't. Either way the psychological toll it takes makes it almost never worth it. I can't express just how awful and disappointed and guilty and disgusting I feel the day after a binge or huge mess-up. It really messes with me(392.4 lbs pounds lost so far)

You don't want to swing to the other side of eating disorder bud. If you've been making good progress all month and you're really craving something it's alright to indulge for a meal. (the key word here is meal. single. not buffet.)
Establishing a healthy relationship with food is the most important thing. If you slip up and get depressed and angry it will create a negative impact on you mentally.

WettyB:
Make sure to take regular progress photos and date them, so if you want to write a book or if someone needs to use them as references for a graphic novel to tell your life story, then you'll have them available.
*edit*
and also make sure to list your approximate weight with each photo, in addition to the date the photos were taken.Last edited by Ace Corona; 04-16-2015 at 05:12 PM.

A tip on not binging:
You seem to be associating cheating with binging. Work really hard for a while to have your cheat meals without turning them into binges and it will become habbit in time (some say habbit forming takes around 2 months)

In response to binging
Just remember its all about envisioning who you want to be Jesse.
Just like you envisioned yourself as a healthy, fit man and have become that; envision yourself as a moderate being who can have a cheat meal without going down the path of binging.
You've already proven that you can become what you envision, now its time to transfer that confidence into other areas.
The misc loves you bro. You got this."What we face may look insurmountable. But I learned something from all those years of training and competing. I learned something from all those sets and reps when I didn't think I could lift another ounce of weight. What I learned is that we are always stronger than we know."

Damn WB! Amazing progress!!! I think I told you before that I'm an RD and do nutrition counseling and just wanted to say that I've had clients who have done gastric bypass surgery and don't make this type of progress. Just goes to show how powerful your mind can be- hard work and determination.

Wetty! Just watched your latest video. The high level that you now hold yourself to is one of your greatest assets but can also be a weakness. I've been following your journey since day 1, and what you have accomplished is amazing. But what is the point of putting in all the effort to get to where you are if you can't occasionally go out with your friends and enjoy yourself? Sometimes you need to focus less on the short-term picture and look more at the long-term one. You have definitely earned a few nights out where you have a few beers and some greasy bar food! It's all about finding the right balance!

Every 50 lbs has been policy, but there are plenty of videos and whatnot in between and I keep weights and dates logged so from that I should be able to have plenty of content, certainly more than 99% of those who lose lots of weight, as, by its very nature, fat people don't normally enjoy being photographed, let alone bathing outside in a kiddie pool in broad daylight
that is a lesson I am slowly, but surely, learning.
and I love the misc, thanks man!
Its hard to believe. I used to look on with jealousy at those who were able to afford gastric bypass. I even went to a seminar about gastric bypass because I wanted it so bad, but it never was to be. Turns out that it really is just a tool to help accomplish what can also be accomplished with a bit of consistency for far cheaper
As long as you never become fully speechless and stop postin, ill be happy!
I agree and in the video I come to a similar conclusion. I am not willing to trade memories and a social life for flawless discipline, it would negate the point of losing the weight. Weight loss is a stepping stone to the goals, not the goal itself. I do understand this and will be looking to strike a balance(392.4 lbs pounds lost so far)
