yes, acres, sorry
the shooting houses are pretty much square wood boxes with metal roofs we made. They're about 15 feet up. They are placed near the green fields we plant. The deer come and feed in the green field. i've seen >20 deer in some of the fields before. We have a general rule to not shoot does in green fields, esp during the peak of the season. The ladder stands are more in the woods.
i also use trail cameras to try and learn the deer movements throughout the property. It's a problem here though because there is so much available water, natural browse, and thick cover.
I just happened to marry into the right family. I know just how lucky I am to have a place like that which I can use~MFC~

But anyway here's the beauty of Illinois (yeah u mirin):
Just kidding. I haven't done as much traveling as I'd like, just got screwed out of a road trip and internship in seattle for the summer so we'll see what happens this summer.

Look to the tune of:
Starved Rock State Park, Illinois (there's miles more than this, if you go at the right time there's several waterfalls, you can google it for some more pics)

Not even a tank can stop our spiders and snakes.
Whenever I'm hiking/running in a bushy area I always let someone else go first so they get the privileged of breaking all the spider webs strung across from tree to tree. Nothing worse than feeling a web all over your head or face and not knowing if there was anything in it....*Cluster Headache Crew* If you also suffer and need help/advice on it, PM me

You never know how its going to hit you. Depending on the size of the boat and wave height and wave frequency every day is different. 9/10 times I am fine, every now and then I get woozy and nauseous as hell for no apparent reason...worst day I ever had was in 2-3 footers, pretty calm, on a 56' boat. but I can bounce my 20-footer through a rough chop with no issue. you just never know. get some good sleep and don't be hungover...if you start to feel nauseous move towards the center of the boat on the lowest level and keep your eyes on the horizon...munching on bland food or bread or crackers can help. You will know immediately if you are in for a rough day or not. Bring dramamine just in case.
