want to try this, but it seems like too much work, and I don't own a blender. i've just trained my self to eat large quantities of broccoli, brussel sprouts, and spinach by themselves.

if you're using spirulina and kale there is no way to completely mask the veggieness. but no shake is intolerable if it has decent fruit or fruit juice... but if the sht actually tastes good, you're not making it good enough for you

if you are juicing just to get fiber, there are much cheaper sources and are actually much richer in fiber. Veggie barely make top 10 in fiber rich food list. Did you really forget the real reason people juicing: Optimal absorption of all the nutrients from the vegetables like vitamins & minerals without using your digestive system as juicing will help to pre-digest them for you.

I would blanch the kale. Just boil it for 3 minutes and you're good.

    wat?

Juices extracted from fruit and vegetables is mostly sugars. The vitamins and minerals are mainly found in the skin and flesh which is thrown away as pulp by juicers.

so many dumb people in the misc. Just use the search bottom or google it, there are 100s links with backed studies gives you the benefit of juicing vs. blending which both are healthy. What you said is the single most stupid claim I have ever heard. So next time you eat a banana or kiwi just eat only the skin and throw the fruit.

You get the most nutrients up to 99% absorption out of the vitamins and minerals when juicing as you don't need digest as i mentioned before but when you blend you get the fiber and this is like eating your fruits/vegetables. Different enzymes are produced to extract the vitamins/minerals and they have to get through the fiber to get to the trapped nutrients. It takes more effort for nutrient absorption and less nutrients are being assimilated in the process. If your digestive system is good, you probably get only up to about 35% absorption of the vitamins and minerals.

blending gives you fiber but less nutrients absorption

...and not a single link was provided that day.

    http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-li...g/faq-20058020

Some juicing proponents say that juicing is better for you than is eating whole fruits and vegetables because your body can absorb the nutrients better and it gives your digestive system a rest from working on fiber. They say that juicing can reduce your risk of cancer, boost your immune system, help you remove toxins from your body, aid digestion and help you lose weight.

However, there's no sound scientific evidence that extracted juices are healthier than the juice you get by eating the fruit or vegetable itself.

I bought dried figs, the type you can eat as a snack without needing to do any other work on them.
