I think the best meditation is done in isolation or in nature. Remember electronics put off emfs. So yea hinaural beats might make you feel a lil different, but nothing could come as close as sitting on a beach listening and absorbing the rhythmic waves or being in pure isolation eyes closed and just breathing and letting the mind unfold. This is what a lot of monks do their whole life.

Whenever I meditate I always "think" of my breathing.. Like I replicate the noise in my head lmao
Is this normal or am I not to the point of complete silence?PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.
GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.
PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?
GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.
PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad.
GANDALF: No. No, it isn't.

Feeling the blood pulsate in certain parts of my body then my whole body helps.
I used to start with my feet and bring it up to my third eye.
It's as though you're focusing solely on your life force that relaxes.
It's difficult as hell but I've managed it on a few occasions. Even felt myself being pulled from my body.
I lucid dream also.I'm unaware of any misc meme's from 2014+

Absolutely been awful at mediating, slipped off. Going to dry to do 15 min everyday when I wake up. You can't mediate after a night of drinking though, really is detrimental.

I've been meditating everyday for about a month now. It really changes the way you react to stressful stimulus, and makes you a whole lot comfortable and calm all the way round. It kind of takes you out of your animal brain, and allows you to "observe" your life, if you know what I mean.
I just read an article in Scientific American, and it basically states that meditating alters the structure of your brain. The parts of your brain responsible for stress reactions are seen as non-reactive, and the grey matter in those parts of the brain actually lose volume, while the parts of your brain responsible for mindfulness become larger. It also showed that telomeres are more active in experienced mediators, which could have implications in cell regeneration and aging.

Does anyone buy into the concept of never leaving your place of meditation?
I think I get it, but can only stay in a deeply serene state of mind if I have a reasonably non stressful day....
If it's a busy day at work, I'll still be less stressed if I meditated in the morning, but there's no way I can stay in that state all day."If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation." - David Brent

Looking for some help in body relaxation. It's my forehead. For some reason, no matter how much I try to relax my face muscles, my forehead gets tingly and my brows furrow by themselves and it gets very uncomfortable. The brows tense up even more and stay like that for a good few hours until I forget about trying to relax my face. Any insight as to why this happens?
