Woke up feeling rough today. Food intake this weekend was less than optimal, so recovery wasn't as great as it could've been.
Today's session was brought to you by a sh*t ton of Dark Roast Coffee.
Snatches from the Dead Hang (right at the hip with zero momentum.):
Up to 176lbs for 4 triples
Power Cleans (Floor, Below Knee):
Up to 220lbs for 3 doubles.
Holy fuuuuuuk these felt heavy.
Squats (10 count pause in the hole):
-Up to 264 x 5
...then...
198x10
242x5x5
308x3x3
Superset:
Good Mornings/Flat BB Bench:
110x5/132x10 (x2)
154x5/176x8 (x2)
176x5/176x8 (3 count pauses on chest) (x2)
Overall:
Smoothed out near the end, but wasn't feeling all that strong today. Everything felt heavy...especially those power cleans.
I'm hammering food today and gonna close with some Edy's Pumpkin Patch Ice Cream in just a minute"The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

Sorry for the lack of presence. This week has been crazy. Lots of training, both in the dojo and in the gym.
Today:
3 Position Snatches (Above Knee, Below Knee, Floor):
Up to 165lbs x 5 triples.
These felt so fkn fast today!!! Lightning quick. I have really been paying attention to that 1/2sec right before I jump down and receive the bar...that nano-second of the pull where I can extend just a little longer and stay with it just a hair more. Really pummeled that today and it felt great.
Squat Waves:
(Squat first set, wait 1min, squat 2nd, wait 1min, squat 3rd, wait 1min...back to first weight and repeat sequence.)
275x5/297x3/330x1 (x 3 rounds)
...then do a few paused singles...
330x1
353x1 x3 sets
BB Rows:
165x8
198x8 x3 sets
Overall:
Smooth session. Quad and hammy on left leg feeling a bit better, but still not 100%. Squats are feeling kind of heavy lately, since that quad has been hurting for about 4wks. Saw my PT though and it's on the mend. No tears and all is well.
I'll catch up on everyone's logs in the morning. Lift on, my brethren."The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

Today:
Power Clean/3 Jerks:
Worked up to 198lbs x 4 sets.
Video of final set.
These felt $$$ today. Really getting that overhead into better position and keeping my hips under the bar. All the work I've been putting in on jerks is showing.
Snatch Pulls (Floor/Below Knee/Below Knee):
Up to 253lbs for 3 triples.
After 3 days of full snatches this week, my pulls are SHOT.
Standing BB Good Mornings (pause at base of each rep):
Worked up to 220lbs for 3 sets of 5.
Wooooo!!! These were lighting my hams and lower back UP. Solid reps all around and really dug into those pauses.
Overall:
Decent session. Jerks felt better than ever. The slight changes implemented in the last few weeks have made a HUGE difference.
Looking forward to slinging some weight again next week
Hope everyone's weekend kick ass!!!"The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

Still a little off, but definitely better than they've ever been. Just puttin in the work.
Still work to be done if I'm gonna hit 120kg snatch/140+kg C&J at a huge meet in January. I'm not far off, but I'm gunnin hard!!!
120/140 would be in ONE YEAR of strictly olympic lifting. The people on my team are truly blown away sometimes at my work ethic and mindset. They don't know how I'm progressing so damn fast. I tell them, "It hasn't occurred to me to do anything else "
Outwork everyone!!!"The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."
