    skinny fat - bulk or cut?

    Hi all, I got this really annoying body after playing WoW for 6 years. I have no muscle but a lot of fat. I started working out since May and have already put a lot of mass.

    I read that bulking for too long will result in multiplication of fat cells(not just increased volume but increased division as well) and they are permenant unless I get a surgery or something, but some people also recommend bulk for at least a year before cut. Also I noticed that I'm starting to get stretch marks around the intersection of chest, shoulders and arms. My skin is known to be inelastic, as I got a bunch of stretch marks in my lower back and thigh during puberty, so I don't want the same thing to happen in the upper area. So I have a tough decision to make - whether I should continue to build muscle or lose fat.

    Height: 6'2
    Weight: 158lb(May) -> 183lb(Now)

    Let me know your opinions based on my situation. Thanks!

    I would not call you skinny fat.

    Bulk dude, do a nice clean bulk but don't be afraid if you put on a little fat, you can burn that off later. It's easier to burn fat when you have more muscle because the muscles consume more calories.

    whatsup man, you just look slim to me, not much mass but not very much fat all. If I was you I would clean bulk til 200, then cut. you definitely don't have enough mass to go for a cut now, you would just look very thin with little size. as for stretch marks, just take your bulk slowly, don't overdo it and you should be golden.

    is it like....small bones with fats = not really big fat in size?

    Bench: 200x1 (meh)
    Squat: 350x1
    Deadlift: 375x1

    It's only when we're pushed to our absolute limits then we can truly shine!

    eat as much as you can just make sure you dont eat too much junk. dont go above ~18% BF and you wont have to worry about your fat cells dividing and creating more. lift heavy and go hard

    Like stated above, keep bulking. When you get to 200lbs see what you want to do from there. I'm also 6'2, I'm at 200 right now but if I start cutting I'm gonna get to skinny, so I'm still trying to get heavier.

    Thanks for the responses.
    I'm actually at least 17-18% BF(possibly around 20%). I have lean chest/arms but most of the fat is stored in my butt and thigh, which is embarassing I know. I also have a tiny waist even with a thick layer of fat.
    If I keep bulking, is it possible to train twice a day? Currently I train 5 or 6 days followed by a rest day. I feel I'm not hitting each muscle group frequently enough.

    Day1:Chest
    Day2:arms
    Day3:back
    Day4:shoulders
    Day5:legs
    Day6:rest
    Day7:Chest
    Day8:arms
    and so on...

    As you see, I'm barely hitting each muscle group once every 6 days. I can rotate more frequently if I train twice a day. For example...
    Day1:chest(morning)/arms(afternoon)
    Day2:back(morning)/shoulders(afternoon)
    Day3:leg
    Day4:rest
    Day5=Day1
    Day6=Day2
    Day7=Day3

    Is this possible?

    Anything is possible.. Keep in mind that when you do chest you are also working your triceps. The same goes for back, youre hitting your biceps. You are hitting every muscle group frequent enough.
