    Question 1MR Weighted Pull-Up

    Hey guys,

    Was wondering what's the real correlation between your own weight and the added weight ?

    For example , I just tried for the first time 1RM Pull-up and those are the stats:

    My weight: 157lbs
    Added weight: ~140lbs
    Total weight: ~297lbs

    %Added weight: ~90%

    How do I interpret the results correctly ?

    Work on a 1 arm pull up or chin up.

    I have read that a good balance is to have your 1 rep bench max equal to a 3 rep max chin-up (bodyweight with extra plates). So if you bench 300, you want your 3 rep chin up to be your bodyweight and extra weight to be 300.

    I dont know of anyone who does 1MR anything. 1 rep maximums (1RM) sure . . .

    How does the math work behind weighted pull up ?

    Is it lets say, is it possible to reach 210lbs added weight with my actual weight ? (Which would mean 133% added weight ?)
