Im not into it. I dont hate it nor do i hate the people who like it tho. I prefer hardstyle/hardcore trance because it gets me more pumped, regular EDM/Trance is too soft for me. I also believe it caught on more with Zyzz. Only Zyzz related track i like is "Nobody said it was easy" but thats more like hardcore trance.

Because a lot of this forum is European. EDM just recently got noticed in America. It's sad because all the YOLO retards are now hopping onto it and ruining it for everyone else. Artists will start to cater to the YOLO retards rather than true fans of EDM, and the genre will self destruct.

I use to be huge on hip hop.
But I kind of grew on "EDM", mainly trance. The emotions it can provoke through the entire arrangement is just amazing.
And not to mention the crowd at raves and events is just amazing. I've been to indie, hip hop and pop concerts and the crowd just doesn't compare. I'll admit it's probably because of a certain substance but I've met quite a lot of people who are really friendly, energetic and welcoming while sober. Go to a rave and you'll get high fives all round when you're seen enjoying the music there and having a good time.
But more so I love the music because it's just a master piece, invokes so much emotion from me and really hits the right nerves.
I've been at an event, completely sober other than maybe a vodka redbull and got teary and so emotional at this one track. inb4 pussy *******

I listen to it all day, listen to about 2 one hour long mixes from start to finish a day on most days.
I'm not sure where you're from but in the US and Australia it's blowing up. Before the "zyzz era" raves and festivals were practically dead, in the last 4-5 years it's blown up and lots of people are getting into it now.
