Read the OP. I like your goals and direction in the sport. And your avi looks great. When's your next contest (if you actually have one in sight)...and what do you weigh in your avi?

Wheeewww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2013 OCB SE States Natural
Mens open short: 7 competitors!
I placed.... drum roll..... 2nd!
I went into this competition realistically looking for a top 3 placing. I definitely dont put much weight in how I get placed but it's always nice to walk away with some hardware. This was a pro qualifier and I knew the competition was going to be tough. I was able to edge out guys who have a lot more muscle than me due to my conditioning. Judges said I was the only one who had hams and some glutes in ... Problem is the guy who beat me was a monster! I talked to him afterwards and he was 22lbs heavier than me! I came in 163lbs and he came in 185lbs lmao. After pre-j my family told me 1st/2nd no doubt and that they were leaning towards 1st because of conditioning ( biased family is biased haha) but the judges themselves said it was a close call. No worries I am pleased.
Two cons: When they called us out to pose, we hit couple mandatories and me and the winner got pushed back while everyone else posed.... I sat in the back trying to hold a front relaxed basically the whole time and I NEVER get to do a side serratus, ab & thigh, hands on hip, or any most muscular for the matter!!! wtf
Judges did a great job and they have a hard one but I wanted an opportunity at least for pics to hit a damn ab&thigh/most muscle while in a line-up
2ND CON: They didnt play my music... idk if they didnt even kno it wasnt my music but they called my name for the routine and played some hippie girly shiiz..... so I go running out like a jack*** fist pumping just trying to ride the wave lol. Sucks because I'm actually into dramatic posing and was looking forward to it but its part of the game I guess, I jst hope the judges didnt regret their decision after that smh.
Paul R, Layne N, Nicole weeks.... all these peeps did a good job, I enjoy seeing these guys work and look forward to moving up towards them in the natural bodybuilding industry.
Whats next:
NPC Tampa Bay Classic - June 8th (2wks)
Time to get a little more conditioned these next two weeks!
Heres a pic of top 5 (im next to winner frnot double bi)

Exactly, mind blowing but apparently it was a pretty definitive top two because me and him got moved to the front and then put in the back on hold for the rest of the time lol
entire class was stacked and all great competitors.
I definitely need to work on overall mass /thickness and plan to do so with the next year offVisit My Current Log -> http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=144888731

Pic taken after chipotle (first time ever eating there... didnt realize how big the burritos were)
I ordered two burritos, one steak and one chicken... ate 1.5 there and the other half on the car ride home with some mini white chocolate chip cookies.
This was about an hour after eating that before I went to bed last night.

Congrats man, you looked great dude. I was actually at the show, didn't realize it was you.
IMO, It was a tough call between you and the class winner, really could have gone either way. After pre-j I had you edging him based on the total package (size, conditioning, stage presence, etc.). All you gotta do is add a bit more size and you will be hard to beat, and you've got plenty of time to do that.
And can't believe that was your first experience with Chipotle... Must have made it taste 1000x better lol.Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it. ~Plato

Was definitely tough class and tbh still super excited with my placing and the judges opinions of me.
Still waiting on stage shots from my friend... will definitely update though, I'm excited to see them myself
Thanks man! I might have some questions for ya as I plan on getting my feet wet in some powerlifting this offseason... which iirc you've been experimenting with it yourself.
Haha in the audience or part of the panel?
Hmm you really think so? I appreciate that, I'll take 2nd and run though because that dude was a monster! ... I am interested in seeing the pics tho!
Crazy how huge these naturals are, I definitely going to take advantage of being 20 and thicken my ars up!!
Tbh I came down with a little sickness during peak week so I really cant appreciate the flavors of things right now
I was not impressed with Chipotle but I wont hold this experience against it and will eventually try again.Visit My Current Log -> http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=144888731

Just competed this past weekend in an NPC (untested) show.
I weighed in Fri night @ 165lbs, the lowest I've weighed this prep was 162.4lbs am weight.
I entered Mens Open middle weight - Class had 9 competitors, I took 2nd place AGAIN!
Hoping for a 3rd place finish in a non natty show I was super excited but then thought that I should have gotten 1st because I was leaner than the winner... after seeing him on stage, he definitely had A LOT more mass than me, and I could see why he won.
I talked to him afterwards and he weighed in at 185lbs the day before and weigh in Fri night at 172 to make middle weights.
Me left, winner right

Wow that's a close call. Your conditioning especially from the back blew him out of the water. That leg width and overall thickness is probably what put him over you that day. Honestly, given a different set of judges you could've easily taken that first place. Either way, awesome job!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I definitely feel it could go either way as it just depends on how they award for conditioning over size. Either way I'm happy that I was able to get some glute striations and maintain a lot of my strength this prep. I am ending my 2013 season with two 2nd place finishes in two different hard competitions. The goal is to try and reverse and truly take next year off from stage. I have competed the last 3 years in a row and have made some great progress, but being 20yrs old I want to take advantage of it. Again plans change but I would like to start my diet end of 2014 so I can aim for a natural pro card in the 2015 season (hitting 3+ shows ideally) ... I'm not going to log religiously but I'll stop in every now and then to update you guys on my progress.

I appreciate it buddy, I think I have almost a Brian Whitacre physique.... just not as big nor as ripped if you know what I mean LOL!
I'll be honest man, I visited your logs multiple times through prep! Your conditioning is what I put on a pedestal to shoot for.
Thanks Rypt.... Should be interesting to say the least, 2015 better watch out!Visit My Current Log -> http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=144888731
