04-18-2013, 08:45 PM #1652You can, and need to find a ground that you know you are suppose to stand on.. hence, stand your ground, this is the place where you know everything is as it should be for you. If you stand in a place where you know in your heart things are wrong, most things around you will never be right.
Rule number one, never work at being what another man defines as being "honorable", Honorable is is being true to what you know and and doing what you know is right for you..

I had a small revelation last night. I've dated only 15 guys in my life. No wonder I haven't found anyone worth sticking to! I haven't *really* been out there enough. Well, time to fix that, but where to begin? I've done the dating websites and it's all the same Rockford people - something that should NOT be my target group.

That's what I've thought :/ I know I'm really starting out but I don't really see myself being with anyone in VA :/. It's like I just look at everyone and think "nothing about them attracts me at all anymore". I really feel like if I left out into the world, I'd have a better chance at finding someone or at least, meeting my preferences in men more than I would being here.

ATTICUS!!! To answer your earlier question, I had X-Rays and an MRI on my shoulder. No real damage, just adhesive capsulitis. The original problem was most likely tendonitis that should have been treated and I didn't do it. I've had 12 therapy sessions and I'm just about back to full range of motion. Probably one more session next week and I'll be done. Then back to lifting after that. Good news: I'm at 10.8% body fat. Bad news: I'm down to 142 lbs.
YES!
I have a gay cousin in VA Beach who took me around to the bars a few years ago and it seems to have a pretty active gay scene. And then there's all those Navy guys who don't have to stay in the closet anymore. I love seamen! Just a thought - it would be a move but still close enough that you could get back to Richmond without too much trouble to see people if necessary.
@jerbs again - you need to get far away from the middle of the country. Make your way to a coast where you'll fit in better.

15 dated as in gone out on dates with? I don't know my exact number but it's probably around 15 or less. 3 serious relationships have resulted out of all the guys I've dated. First one I met on gay.com, and I was too insecure about myself, alone in a new city, and didn't know what I wanted, so I went into the relationship not really feeling it. He did help me get more comfortable with my gayness and coming out to friends. He had a lot of issues to deal with, and it's tough to start a relationship with so much baggage. This one lasted about a year.
Several years later, after dating now and then without finding someone worth pursuing, I met my second LTR through a common friend (a guy I initially dated but turned out to be a great friend). This time I was more secure, but he still helped me feel good about my gayness, I came out to all my friends and family with great response from everyone. Sadly he also had a TON of issues (we all do) that he was unwilling to work out and after 3 years we broke up. Learned a lot of things about myself, and went back to being single for a while. Worked on myself, started working out, explored my interests and made myself happy, and then started dating again after 2 years.
1.5 years ago I met my current BF. Completely different from my initial dating with the other exes. I wasn't alone and desperately looking for someone, I didn't meet him while drunk, so the circumstances were a lot better. Not sure if this is a good thing or not, but I am taking it slow, not moving in right away (not a lesbian anymore with a Uhaul at the ready lol) and enjoying the time. So far so good. I met him through Ok Cupid and I like that his matureness is so much closer to mine than my previous exes were.
The place you live would definitely influence your dating pool. Luckily where I live there is a lot of migration and the pool is larger. The BF is from all across the country, and we moved to San Diego at around the same time 8 years ago.twitter.com/motoridersd

Yes. It's been few enough that I can actually count. Some of these guys I saw more than once, and had multiplol dates with them.
Finding this out is actually a GOOD thing. Now I can put less pressure on myself, and take a little responsibility for my zeroitis. I stuck with some guys longer than I should have - that is, one date should have been it for him - and that's part of the equation, but it's also my not putting myself out there and making myself availablol.
Rick is right - first step is to get out of the Midwest and go to the coast. Incidentally, one of my friends is moving to Seattle next month. I would *love* to go with him, but I've already made commitments here. Maybe a year hence it can be an option. Moving cross country is expensive. Hell, moving across a CITY is expensive! I don't know. I loved C Hall as well. With this, I crush beer cans with my belly. Tvrl70 always tried to meet up with him when T was in NY
Mister Rick. It has been too long. Good. You know me. I wouldn't want to have to go down and bully you into it. 142 is hot! That is like a stomach flu away from my goal weight. I am glad to hear that you will get back to it. I expect the next time I down there you to be at least 160. I am up to like 162. For me I feel quite unhappy about it. I am too soft for comfort. Stupid injuries. I must be getting old since I seem to keep getting them.
I just upped my gayness. I got addicted to Ru paul drag race. Soon I will be like movie star quality gay. and shoot glitter from everywhere.
I might be moving to TN of all places.
Back when there was pangea and we wrote the dinosaurs to school. In other words, pre ********. There used to some regular, almost famous trolls. I think that C Hall was still in the first gay thread. Might have made it into the second. John H was like 2003 to 2005 maybe. Minx was active later.
Welcome back mister Flynn. I remember you! You were from our pack of lawyers. I think you were taxes. The thread now moves slowly. Sadly, we must all be actually productive at work nowadays.

Because I found it to be delightful. I would really like to collect these all and make them into something like the post card confessions.

Oh, no. I will have to disagree. Jinx is my second favorite. He looks too much like someone from singles or benny and june. But i adore his personality. I do admit that Jinx is the people's princess this season though. I am all about Alaska but I think her affliation with Sharon needles is going to be held against her. But Alaska has never had to LSFHL. Spooky maybe Sharon deal but Alaska is Aesthetic is trashy.
I can't stand Roxx this season. Is it big in England? Do you watch the untucked?

Its big with them that know - but its all word of mouth and naughty downloads cause only the first season got shown over here terrestrially and at a reall ****ty post midnight weekend slot when everyone who`d like it was out. Love untucked too, the misleading editing is very fun. I like Alaska too - and yes shes def got a shot but google some of Jinxs other stuff/videos - shes actually a broader more all round performer though Alaska is deffinately more matured and polished. I dont blame Roxy - theres been worse, bitchier, "How the f**k did they get top 3" Drag Queens. She deserves her place, Id have knocked her out for Detox though, shes far better.
MAY I BE AS BEUTIFULL AS THOSE i DEEM TO BE.

The irony is generally for promotion of the season you find Alaska with Jinx together a lot. Alaska is an amazing MC. I usually stream it off logo and that saves from messing around with actually finding the time slot. I like Detoxx stuff outside of the show better than what she did on the show.
They are old trolls that used to make some of the most ridiculous posts of all time. I think John H was IP band. I don't know if what ever happen to C hall.
I know right. At least Phi Phi you could almost understand why she was staying around. Roxxy just bores me. I mean she busts out her capes on basically every run away. I haven't seen anything that is too special beside the under the wig wig thing.

Went to my school's health center today. Got tested. Should have results back in a few days. Apparently, a phone call is bad but an email is good, so let's hope I get nothing but emails. And also, apparently, I'm not the height and weight I thought I was. Everything I know is a lie.

I will assume that I read your post correctly. It is just a guess but it seems someone's else behavior might have put you at risk, no? I hear betrayal. Sigh, Perhaps, not enough wearing your helmet into war. Anyway, I will assume I am correct. First off, I am sorry that you going through this. All joking and kidding aside, most of us have been in a similar situation. It is hard. But you have done the right thing. Testing is essential because it provides certainty in one direction or another. Remember it does no good to have anticipatory grieving. As hard as it is, it is time to focus on other things and wait for the information before anything else. Take some deep breaths, burn your sheets, time for some new bed karma. Let us all hope that you receive the email and not the call. Take care.
Sigh, my and my scale are in a fight. We will get back together but it seems we have our seasonal flux.
