Im at a gun shop locally considering purchasing a gun.

Ruger SR22 22LR pistol. $339



Priorities in order of importance, as well as observed qualities i like:

-Eats bulk ammo - I am hearing these things do a great job of eating bulk .22LR ammo.

-Has the feel and functions of regular calibre pistols. This has slide release/safety/mag release in common locations.

-Racks the slide like a standard semi auto pistol. (This eliminated the ruger mark III for me)



Does anyone have any objections to this gun, be it purchase price, reliability, accuracy?

Nope, buy it. I have one, bought it for my step daughter for Christmas, but I use it more. It's a great shooter.

Here's how I look at it. The Sheriff and Police Chief (here in LA anyways) are progressive liberal rags who won't enforce some of the laws we have yet over reach on others. The progressive liberal politicians caused this mess that we're in now by instigating the run on guns and ammo. The officers' lives are being put in danger by not having proper training or enough equipment. People who voted for these idiots are thus put in danger. It's their responsibility to wake the fk up vote these people out. As for me, I'll take care of protecting myself and my family, because I have to wait for the police to show up to help me, the situation is probably very, very bad.

do it!! .22 pistols are fun as hell. cheap to plink with, and light enough that you still get a satisfying recoil. more so than a .22 rifle anyway.

My FFL has them for $325, so price isn't too bad. I have heard that they can be pretty picky with ammo though.

Silly cops, they should be using shotguns. Since it is common knowledge they are the best defensive weapon around. Last time I checked birdshot was plenty available. That way they don't need worry about shooting an innocent through a wall.
