how many kids do you hear that they commit suicide, have depression/mental problems because of situations likethis that literally make them hate school, messin with their learning potential, etc and other things impacting the environment they grew up in could trigger other problems ?

the school systems teach that kid to have a victim mentality, that he can do nothing about it but tell the teacher making him feel like a pussy and most of the time, the bullying would not be solved.

not every one has what it takes to take on a bully, not every one knows how to fight because they are imo better people than scum bullies.

2 grown men going at it and a basebal bat involved I am against. But these are young kids and I am looking at it from the bullied kids perspective as much as I can.

People saying the kid deserved it, what the ****? Sure it was stupid to start a kid holding a baseball bat but he didn't deserve to get smacked in the ****ing head with it. Do you people have any idea how dangerous that is? Kid could easily have serious brain damage.

Joe Rogan talked about how astonishing it is how people are so confident in fighting (Sometimes to the death with out knowing the posibilties of what will happen you deck someone in the nose) with zero fighting experience at all.

but a 12 year old ? bullying can mess up the mental wellbeing of the kid. Imo the kid is in the right and the principal/schooling should be responsible for what happened since its their job to protect that kid from bullies. Or atleast thats what they say but instead they create kids with a victim mentality towards bullies thus making them more of a target for bullies because they will do NOTHING.

Why in the fuk are all of you assuming the kid was a bully? Maybe bat kid talked **** about him or stole his iPod which is the reason he was trying to fight him. We don't know for sure he was a bully. Bat kid looked like a fuking tool as well.

it depends really, in this situation. it seemed like the aggressor was quite persistent (SEVERAL PUSHES) , hence it was fair for the defender to hit him with a bat

why?

because if you don't want to fight someone you shouldn't, it can be due to any reason of many reasons, i.e. fights are quite risky by themselves, who knows if the aggressor gets a lucky hit in and does nearly same amount of damage when the kids head hits the floor) so i definitely wouldn't drop the bad and risk getting hurt in a fight, because for some reason i feel considerate for the ****bag trying to cause harm

having said that

optimal route would be:

"push me again and ill hit you with this bat"

- if he pushes again, bat him in the knee with decent force and walk away

- the end

but he was a kid and just acted in the moment and unleashed a reflex hit to the head, which is expected... you can't really punish him hard for that but he could've ended it in a more sensible manner. Although I do agree he should've gave him a warning beforehand

the aggressor may have not "deserved" a hit to the head but that doesn't mean the defender did anything wrong or unacceptable, as it was just a split second decision of self defense

all in all, the aggressor was definitely in the wrong... he gambled and he lost

Americans today hide behind the law to shield them from the consequences of their actions. There are very few countries on this earth wherein you can shove people, get in their face, and insult them without being almost immediately beaten for doing so, with few legal consequences for either party involved.

I'm not saying the kid with the bat did the right thing. But if you antagonize someone who is holding a bat, you are basically counting on that person's knowledge of the consequences of their potential actions to keep you safe from the consequences of your own actions. And that, in my opinion, makes you the biggest pussy and cancer there is. I'm not glad that the kid swung the bat, but I'm glad that kid got hit with a bat, if that makes sense.

If America were a more polite society, and not so litigious, there would be a healthier pugilism to fights, and it would be understood that turnabout is fair play. And if you decided to pick on someone, the potential for them to fight back would be a much greater concern.

Even if he was, a fist fight goes a long way at backing someone off you and earning their respect. If you've ever been in a fist fight (and won) as a kid growing up you'd know this to be true.

Nailing someone with a bat is a good way to get killed later on or beat to a pulp..he already got jumped right after the strike by someone else (although it wasn't much).

But I don't think a blow to the head, with full force with a bat is somehow 100% justified based on a few pushes. Not all fights have to be "fair," but this is too unwarranted and ludicrous of a retaliation imo...maybe it's a part of me being a trained fighter/MT guy who thinks this is uber excessive.

from the video, we have to assume he was a bully unless stated otherwise, also read my post above. the defendant should in no way be forced to end it with a fist fight, the aggressors risk taking and stupidity warranted it, maybe not to the head but at least a leg hit.. that is if the defendant gave him a warning and the aggressor wasn't backing off, which is what basically seemed to happen

That kid violated the non-aggression principle that is at the core of society. Once violated the kid with the bat had no reason to respect it either. All this talk about it being justified or not, who cares. The real problem is how we can get to a point where we view something like this so nonchalantly and can even consider harming another human in such a way. Sure you get pissed off at people and things get heated but isn't there always that little voice in your head saying relax? calm down, it will be okay if you simply drop the problem or issue. I sympathise with the kid with the bat though, he was provoked (going off the video only) and seemed to be the bully victim, so I feel for him more than the other guy who got hit. Treat others like you wish to be treated. I wholeheartedly despise the whole situation though, simply because we are meant to be brothers (no homo) but it's true, we are one species, one kind, yet we are fighting with each other to the point of bodily harm and over, what was most probably something very petty or stupid. I dunno.. Just a reminder of our darker side I suppose and that we are not yet fully enlightened. In before accusations of living under a rock, this is normal, yadda yadda, yeah sure, I know it's normal these days lol so what, I'm just sayin'.

read my other post. some people DONT HAVE what it takes to fist fight. this kid just reacted to make the shoving/bullying stop, he doesnt even have the heart to get angry enough to continue beating him with it or beat up the other douche stupid enough to mess with someone who just a bat
