mine isn't as bad as some I've seen but was wondering if this could be any way related to pectus excavatum?

1. if you do heavy cardio do you have difficulty breathing? do you ever get pain in your chest or feel a lack of stamina? if the answer is no then your P.E probably isn't causing a problem. If yes then maybe you want to think about surgery.
2. No. surgery is the only treatment. you might hear about vacuum bell therapy or whatever but thats pretty much unproven and is only really likely to work on younger patients where the bone structure is more flexible. surgery is really the only option if you want it corrected.
3. Well I wouldn't avoid anything in particular unless its causing you problems.

Hey PE can be completely harmless in the majority of cases, only way to know is to see your doctor, get your heart and lung functions tested, and also depending on the severity of your PE, whether it is affecting your spine, as with 30% of cases of PE scoliosis can develop.
As for exercises, your best of consulting a doctor for advice for that, but I'd say for your PE, seeing as your PE dip is below your chest muscles that yours could be disguised pretty well with upper ab work and decline chest exercises, good luck for the future and you should do some progress pics too to see if those work.

I have PE , in 2,5 months i plan to bulk to 195lbs ( 12% bf) and then cut to 8% ( 185lbs) .
Is there anyone on this forum who could give ma a picture of a guy with PE that has less than 9% bf and how his abs are visible.
Because in "normal" position my abs are not visible and from the side it looks like i have a beer belly so i am wondering is it even worth on going on a cutting diet with PE...

As you can probably imagine, the bar never felt natural in my chest and where it was anchored on the side of my ribs would feel especially strange when I lifted. I was afraid I was going to rip something or have the bar move out of place. Bottom line, it felt uncomfortable to lift so I just waited for the bar to come out. Also, I could hardly lift anything for a long time after the bar was put in - It's pretty uncomfortable and painful to move for quite some time after the nuss bar is installed. It took probabl about a year after the bar was installed to even think about trying to lift. I had pretty extreme PE so maybe it was harder for me because my ribs were moved a lot.

Is this pe?
I've never worked out before in my life, and I know I look skinny as anything. I got a diet sorted out though, and I'm starting as soon as I get my gym membership. Just out of interest though, I've always had a slight dip in my chest. I'm pretty sure I can cover it up with some muscle, but just out of interest, what do you guys think? Do I have PE?
