Hey guys and girls
Since i have been training i have moments of smelling like amonia. I know that the amonia smell comes from burning aminos and that i have not consumed enough carbohydrates but even since i have added more carbohydrates to my diet i kept the smell after about 30 min.
I let a dietist take a look at my diet and she said i took to much protein. So i have adjusted this as well not more then about 15 grm per meal instead of 25 to 30 grm. But still even now i have tese smell moments. I can seem to figure out why this is coming back all the time. I happens after about 30 min.
This is not a problem that i have all my trainig life but this is since about a year now. Never made to many changes jn my diet only in my training schedule. I gained muscle lost fat but no drastic changes.
Hopefully you guys can help me out about what the F Is going on. Or maybe you guys can advise me with any supplements or foods that can help out.
Thanks in advance guys i aprecciate any respons

Second seeing a doctor. As you've already mentioned, low carbs is a likely cause (especially since we have no idea how much "added more carbohydrates" means). However, there is a possibility of a more serious problem (e.g. kidney issues), so it may be worth getting looked at.

This, it can also have to do with different bacteria in your body creating an ammonia release.

I have had this experience as well. It comes and goes though. I can't entirely rule out whether it is from sweating into my clothes which then leeches out some cleaning compounds that my shirt was washed in. I would also contends that the smell is more like isopropanol than ammonia. Either way, yes it seems like a good idea to visit a doctor about this.
