idk if this is relevant, but sometimes for my smaller muscles, mainly my biceps, triceps, and shoulders, i need to do like 20+ sets with them, or really just devote an entire workout to them. Its working for me. Though i will only do this type of workout to them every 3 or 4 weeks. Otherwise i just do 3-4 sets for them twice a week, but it seems like if iget a chance to devote an entire workout, they really grow. Idk, just my experience, if i could fit it in my schedule more, i would do it more often. Just my take though. Still can get good workouts on other bodyparts though with4-5 sets just hitting the weights hard.
STATS:
Bench Press = 205 x 8
Squat = 225 x 8
Deadlift = 365 x 8
Shoulder Press = 155 x 8
Barbell Row = 175 x 8

i usually can only work this into my schedule about once a month, but it honestly seems when i do this for like biceps, triceps or shoulders, its the only time they grow. I feel great right now, and i mean GREAT!

Sometimes me and my training partner do 25 sets or more on our biceps.....i've got 18" arms and his are 20"......am i doing something wrong as well??
Also, to the guy that said shoulders are a 'smaller' muscle, your wrong, theres a large amount of muscle fibres in the delts....they should always have their own workout in my opinion.

just because you do it doesnt mean everyone not as advanced as you should. 25 sets is definitley overkill in his case on top of 12 sets of back/bicep movements

these are the same forums where people say to change up their workout everyonce in a while right?? He only does it about once a month....thats no problem, twice a week would be a problem, besides we learn through trial and error, although some learn through hearsay, give the guy a break, with that being said, the cant lift your arms part should come after your workout and you've relaxed them and the fatigue sets in....if your lifting weights during/after you start to feel it, i would advise against it, since its not really beneficial, and just pointless.
