despite my complete lack of experience in this subject, I would agree simply based on when I've heard other people talk about the subject, including one of my roommates. It just seems like they don't share enough with each other. If people were open and honest with each other, they'd not only get to know each other better but would better be able to decide what to do when it comes to that so that they could come up with activities that are enjoyable for all involved.

I think part of the problem (again, from what I've gathered in hearing other folks talk) is that people are afraid their partners will find something gross and that they will be ridiculed for it...or that they might think something is "sick" or whatever (for example, some people are into S&M but others are not, and those who are not might characterize it as "twisted/messed up" or whatever).
