Ok so the commonly accepted amount of protein need when trying to gain naturally is 1g/lbs of body weight. This should give you the protein needed to build as much muscle as possible whilst in a calorie surplus.
My question is whether an argument can be made for newbies to have more protein than this to fully fulfill their potential muscle gains given that this (potential muscle gains) can be substantially higher than that of a trained person.
I wouldn't think anything crazy would be needed but maybe a minimum of 1.25-1.5g/lbs of body weight. Especially seeing as these people would likely be starting with much less LBM than an experienced lifter.
Yay?

I would normally recommend 1.25-1.5g/lb
However your reasoning regarding LBM is completely incorrectFounder of MMDELAD
