    Am I skinny fat?

    Been cutting for a bit. I'm 22. Lot of people have started saying i'm looking too thin, and today i weighed myself at 177 lbs which is lowest i've probably been since 15 y.o. I'm 6'0" and am wondering if i'm becoming skinny fat? do i have too little muscle to cut? If i keep cutting and get down to 170 and have no muscle definition and still look fat that would suck. advice/thoughts? thanks guys

    bro, virtually everyone is skinny fat on their first cut, I have never met a person who wasnt! yes you dont have enough muscle to cut and look defined but thats ok because its normal.

    Keep cutting right now and start bulking when you get to around 12% bf.. you wont have any defenition at that point and it will be discouraging, but thats the game bro.

    I remember when I started cutting, went form 212lbs and was expecting a six pack by the time I was 170 lol.. lost like 50lbs and got to 160, was skinny fat and weak as fuark and no abs, had to give it up and just bulk.

    It's just a label. If you're not happy with the way you look, change it. Just keep in mind that the only thing more discouraging than becoming skinny or "skinnyfat" is ending your cut too soon (above 15% or so) and not being able to see any results while heading back up to the 20% range. You'll technically be doing everything right, but what you'll see in the mirror is probably going to translate to undoing all of your progress from the cut. If you're a beginner, like the above poster says, you never had anything to cut down to from the beginning, just like anyone else just starting out. You just have to create your goals and stick to them. Keep focused on your way points but remember the end result is what matters.

    You are six feet tall. So, this is not a hard task to make your body a beautiful shape. Just maintain some regularity then you will be just fine.

    Thanks bros, ive been reading a lot about this and looks like i will continue cut. ill try and get to 12-13% before bulking - dont wanna add fat just yet when that's what i was self conscious about and why i started cutting in the first place.

    hopefully can drop 10 or so lbs by wintertime and then start bulking
