Seeing Florida dominate in red sounds and being the future big city of America makes me wonder what Florida is like. I've been to a lot of cities and state and never Florida. Tell me your thoughts.

Low cost of living depending on the city, melting hot in the Summer, and "chilly" at most in the Winter (no snow). No income taxes, low sales taxes. Beach babes if you live near the top beaches. Plenty of slummy areas / sketchy areas near all the more expensive and well-known cities. Some areas of swampland, rural areas, historical landmarks. Zero mountains/hills anywhere, always flat. Plenty of top notch fishing spots, as well as jet skii / tubing locations. Lots of boating opportunities. Palm trees everywhere you look. Well-known amusement parks/museums/zoos, as well as lesser known ones that are still decent quality.
Been here 20+ years, ready to move somewhere else, but I'm sure I'll miss certain things like the taxes and deep ocean views at the beaches.

We're never too full for conservative minded people. Florida is great if you don't mind the heat. Personally i recommend north Florida if you really want some good size small cities with pretty conservative beliefs. Im from just north of Gainesville myself, North Florida gets a bad rep for being full of rednecks and no beaches, but I'll take a 3k sqft home on 20 acres for $400k with neighbors who leave me alone unless I'm grilling.
Plus, who needs a beach when I can drive 15 minutes down the road with a cooler of beers and cruise down here
I live in Aurora, CO now but still own a home on 4 acres about 20 minutes from Gainesville. Great area.
Edit to add: go gators though. We don't need any more noles.

Would move there in a heartbeat if I could stand the summer heat..which I cannot.
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.
