    Not another plateau thread.....

Okay I lied this is a plateau thread.

I started my cut around November 1. 248 pounds and 23-25% bodyfat. I cut for 12 weeks to mid-January (the week of Thanksgiving and the week of Christmas were both hazardous so I don't really consider them) and was down to 230 and around 19-20% bodyfat.

After 12 weeks I ate at maintenance for the second half of January and the first half of February (4 weeks total) before resuming my cut. This is the weird part. I've continued to cut fat by every measurable aspect (waist size has shrunk another 2-3 inches, more visible vascularity and striations, shirts fit looser, love handles almost gone, etc) and I'm between 16-18% bodyfat now. I'm a lot leaner than I was in January but here it is almost April and I'm holding steady at 230 pounds on the dot.

I know cuts are gradual and body recomp is a factor, but with the amount of visible changes I'd think the scale would budge at least a few pounds.

So fat loss brahs, what say you? Should I expect this plateau to break and continue losing pounds? Is my experience normal or is there something I'm missing?

*(all bodyfat estimates are visual estimates based on body appearance vs online picture charts)

When I am at a plateau I eat less or do more cardio. I also throw in an ECA stack for good measure.

A pretend plateau for a pretend Viking.

    1. Eat at a significant deficit
    2. Continue for weeks
    3. Lose a significant amount of fat

If "3" is not happening, then you aren't doing "1" and "2".
Started 2012 at over 410lbs (that was as high as my scale went) and I ended the year at 260lbs.

Still going strong while eating whatever I want - whenever I want; I just keep it to under 2000 calories a day.

TEAM IIFYC (if it fits your calories)

Using Harris-Benedict equation my TDEE is right around 3250. I eat between 2000-2500, macros look like this:

    Protein 210-225
Fat 60-70 (including 8 grams between fish oil and CLA)
    Carb 125-200

I do carb cycle, higher carbs on back and legs and generally a little bit more fats on leg days. Very rarely over 2500 unless I'm refeeding or "cheating".

The math would imply I'm undereating but not very drastically... I wouldn't think I've eaten myself into metabolic slowdown but is it a possibility?

Assuming ECA is ephedrine/caffeine? I've read up on it and thought back and forth about it. Honestly I'm scared of getting raided by dat dere police as I live in a strict commonwealth state with a bit of a meth problem in a section of counties very dedicated to drug interdiction.
