Right, ive never warmed up really before working out, ive just gone straight into the working sets. I know this is wrong and im wondering how you lot warm up? I tried last workout and all i did was did light weights of what i was doing. For example, squats i did 1 set of 10 with just the bar. How many sets are you ment to do when warming up and how many reps?
Im trying to make my gym session longer. ATM i really look forward to going to the gym and im doing IA's power routine but im only in the gym for just over 35 mins which aint long enough for me! Think im gonna start doing 5 mins on the treadmill before training then do 2 light weight warm up sets for each workout with 15 reps ish.
I used to do cardio for about 10 min with my HR at about 135-140. Now i'm doin 2-3 lighter sets before working sets. both seem to work fine, i personally like the cardio better tho, it gets u goin
