    Carbohydrates nutrients decreases when cooked?

Was just reading this on wiki answers, would like a confirm if this is true, since i tried bulking but it failed badly so re-evaluating what i did wrong.

"There are about 75 grams of carbs in 100 grams of dry pasta and about 30 in 100 grams of cooked pasta."

if this is true, does this count for chicken and protein also?

Nutrients don't decrease, per se. When you cook the pasta how do you think it gets bigger and not crunchy ? That's right, it absorbs water. So when you cook the pasta, water is adding weight. So if you cook 100g of dry pasta, it turns out to be 200+ grams after it's cooked. There aren't less nutrients in the pasta, just more water.

when you cook meat, it generally works the other way. Water is REMOVED from the protein from cooking. So 100g of raw chicken, once cooked, will weigh 60 grams (or whatever, not sure the actual number, just an example) but still have the same amount of protein. Fatty meats will generally lose some fat via cooking also.
