NY, it sounds like you train at a very serious and legit karate school. I wish I had access to a Karate school like that back when I did Karate, or even had access to one now.
You need to know how to get to a position from where you can "snap a neck" and you have to practice doing it on strong capable sparring partners that will resist you.
Croaker you are spoiled! You live in a mecca of BJJ and are used to seeing super good blue belts. Im sure you know this, but there is a lot of ****ty blue belts out there that would get mopped up...
That's the thing with a lot of bjj ground work, you really are going 100% full out trying to finish the armbar or the choke. You just stop when they tap, but you really aren't holding back before...
