Well, Thanks to Syntrax, I'll be giving their new
product "Hyper-H" a 36 day trial run.
Background: A little info about myself. I'm your typical
hardgaining, ecto, although I hate those terms. I've been 135lbs and 6' tall
since the 6th grade and just never seemed to grow much after that. I have an extremely
fast metabolism and can eat like a horse, yet still have trouble packing on
the pounds. About the time I turned 20 I became fed up with how skinny I
was and vowed to do something about. I wasted my time going back and
forth with lifting for about 10 months, making no real progress. Then, I found
Bodybuilding.com. I started reading about diet and proper nutrition as well as
proper supplementation I've since put on about 15lbs of lean mass with very
little fat, if any gained.
Routine: I'm currently running a customized routine based off of Bill
Starr's "Intermediate 5x5." The specifics or my current routine can be found
here, as well as how my progress with the actual 5x5 itself went.

Diet: As an extreme ecto I'm not real strict with my diet, but I still
stray from **** like soda, candy, ice cream, cookies, donuts, etc. Some of
the basics: Lean beef, chicken, tuna, fish(which I won't be eating during this
log), lean turkey, lean ham, wheat bread, brown rice, OATS of course, baked
beans, lentils, eggs, green veggies, and some fruits. Some of the dirtier
basics are things like potatoes, pasta, frozen pizzas, popcorn, and reduced
fat Ravioli and other "hearty" soups and such. I'll have a Wendy's combo
probably once a week as a cheat meal(believe me, the fat is high, but theres
a ton of protein as well). I've been at around 3000-3500 calories consistantly
for a while now but I aim for 3500 cals on off days and 4000 on days I lift. I
wont post specifics about my diet but I'll try and get the daily intake
numbers to you guys.
Supplementation: I don't go to crazy on supps, basically cause I'm a
broke-ass college kid, but heres what I use as of right now and what I'll be
taking throughout this log: Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey, Prolab Creapure,
BSN NO-Xplode for PreWO intensity, and Men's One-A-Day multivitamin. Not
a lot I know, but its the basics.
Now onto the product I'll be trying. A little about Syntrax's "Hyper-H"

Trial Day 1
Week1 - Day 3
Squat: 3x8 @ 147.5lbs I'm gonna try and increase these steadily at about 2.5lbs a week
Barbell Row: 3x8 @ 105lbs I lowered the weight so I could focus on the form.
Dumbell Bench Press: 3x8 with 45's I failed on the 3rd set on the 7th rep. My left side just couldn't make it. The right felt like I had a few reps still left and thats the main reason why I switched to dumbells, to try and even em out.
Dumbell Curl: 3x8 @ 20's
Pullups: 2x5 @ BW These are hard after going all out on Rows!
I've taken 3 of my 5 pills so far today. 1 with breakfast, 1 with meal 2, and 1
PreWO. I'm sure its just placebo, but I've actually felt pretty good today.
Workout went as normal, nothing real special about, just a good workout.

Lying Tricep Ext.: 3x8 @ 46.25lbs

Trial Day 10
-Offday-Sunday-
Got my 5 pills in.
3300 cals.
Recovery has seemed real good the days following my past 2 workouts. I had back to back softball games today and felt great out there. Totally pumped to play and I was feeling real competitive. I was playing catcher though so I was naturally more agressive than say if I was in left field. I went 4-5 with 2 rbi's. Good day overall. We'll have to see how sore I am tomorrow.....

I seem a bit more vascular and like I said earlier my pumps seem to stick around longer. My muscles feel tighter and more filled out. Recovery has also seemed good up until softball kicked my ass. Other than that I haven't really seen too much outside of the norm.
-Negative-
Nada really. I can't complain about anything yet...

Trial Day 13
-Wednesday-
Week 3, Day 2
Deadlift: 3x8x180
Dumbel Military press: 3x8x25
Dumbell Flyes: 3x8x25
Lateral Raises: 3x8x10
Dumbell Bench Press: 3x8x45
I did bench press instead of pushups since I missed them Monday. They felt real good. I'll probably move up to 50lbers next Monday. The deadlifts felt great. I pulled all three sets with ease! Damn I love Deads. they're going up to 185 next week. The military press was a little tough at 25lbers, but thats probably because I just benched. I'll stick with these and just work on form with the heavier weight and not worry about getting 8 reps each set. I think I'm finally getting my fly form down to where I get a real nice stretch throughout the chest. Good weight there. Lateral raises were fine, just fine.
I got all 5 of my Hyper H pills in as usual. Cals are a little over 3500 for the day. My workout went great! I should of took a pic of my arms, the veins were ready to pop out! I had plenty of energy in the gym and felt extremely good while lifting today.

And I'm really digging this Hyper H. Its seems almost anti-depressant...not that I have any experience with anti-depressants or know what they're like, but I have just simply felt really good every day since I started taking this stuff. Maybe its just my mindset or maybe its all part of the Hyper H, who knows.

Trial Day 15
Week 3 - Day 3
Squat: 3x8x155 These about killed me. No bs here, I hate squats, but they're up 5lbs from last week.
Barbell Row: 3x8 @ 105lbs Real nice pump in my back from these.
Dumbell Bench Press: 3x8x50 Yeah muthafukas! I think my chest is finally growing now that I'm using dumbells.
Dumbell Curl: 3x8 @ 20's
Pullups: 1x7, 1x6 @ BW My pullups are improving as well.
Awesome workout again! Improved my squat and bench, as well as pullups. Real nice pump in my chest and back. Got 3 of my pills in so far today and I'm feeling real good.
