i'm not going to be one of those people that shouldn't be there, so the diet begins. i'm back up to 160 after not working out and eating like crap since the beginning of june due to my injury/illness. i've been doing cardio for a week now, lifted a few times and even ate clean a few days this week, but i need to do better......hence the new journal. my goal is be down to 145 by the time we leave....doable as long as i behave myself for the next 9 weeks. mr. s is dieting too and hopes to drop about 15#s also. wish us luck!!!!!

Good luck to both of you!! I have 8 more weeks in my plan (from this Wednesday), so we can have "fun" doing this together."For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7

I was hoping for a competition, but I guess a journey begins with the first steps. And those steps are headed for a nude beach
Glad to have you back, I joined after your journal and missed the good times.
Look forward to it.

it- thanks!
lisa- i'm sure hubby would love to see u there too ;
hey rob- you'll have to deal with hubby for that
bob- it probably would be, but i'm really kinda shy
ok....another 45 minutes on the treadmill done. i've been doing intervals for 30 minutes the walking on an incline for another 15. i do 1 minute on level 5 @ 5 mph running then 1 minute on level 10 @ a 3.5 mph walking on an incline with 2# weights in my hands. the last 15 is just the second part of the interval.
i've decided to do go back and do my very first diet for a few weeks and see i look. it's easy for me. it's about 20-25 grams of protien each meal along with 20-25 grams of carbs for 5 meals and one meal of 20 grams of protien with some fat. no carb cycling just 1 cheat meal a week. i'll give it 2 weeks then see if i need to drop my carbs a bit. i know steve thinks they should be lower, i have always felt that my body does better on more carbs especially with all the cardio i do.
we did back and bi's last night. i'm backed off my bi's a bit and really had a good back wo. i'll let steve post the dc stuff since i really just do what he says....well not always, but when i feel like iti'm a fatty now :(

Nice going on the cardio.
I'm looking forward to seeing your DC workouts. I did that for about four weeks - bored me to tears!

i love dc training! it has really helped me bring up some parts that were lagging. i don't know how you could get bored since you are really only doing one exercise for each bodypart. we have so many different wo's i can't keep track.
i'm a fatty now :(

I got bored because of the rest-pause factor and the stretching. I HATE to stretch and just could not bring myself to do it correctly. Slow movement with weights takes too much concentration, I just don't have it (very hyper). I did get some gains doing it, but just could not keep going with it.

Nice job on the cardio Shelli. How many days are you doing cardio? Is the cardio done in a fasted state?
Have a good day!Genshai
