Was wondering if anyone could help with my diet i know what to eat its when. im training to build lean muscle again have been out of the gym for a number of years and want to get back into it so im going to do the 40 40 20 plan sticking to about 1800 calories a day if this is wrong please advise me on what is right the gym instructor pretty much says they aren't dieticians and cant advise so hopefully u can cheers look forward to hearing from you

If you really want to build some muscle, 1800 calories is too low. With that calorie intake, you will never reach your goal. Rather start with 2200 calories and see it it works for you. You should eat a lot of protein. You can find them in red meat, eggs, as well as some food supplements and protein shakes. I suggest you do a little research on the internet about creating the best diet plan for you. At this moment we don't know anything about your age, weight, height, etc. Those parameters are crucial for creating a good diet plan.
