Do Pendlay Rows adequately stimulate the biceps of a beginner?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlRrIsoDpKg

Video to clarify what type of Row I'm talking about.
I always rep back. Just ask.

By themselves, no. But if you're doing barbell rows, bench press, overhead press, and chin ups odds are you are hitting your biceps enough.

And doing 2-3 sets of barbell curls should only add a few minutes to your workout...just do them if you think you need it.

Yes, if you're a beginner and trying to build up a base, pretty wel all pulling movements will work your biceps, although maybe not as intensively as curls. I didn't do direct arm work(the closest I got was dips) for years, and my arms did fall behind. I have been doing direct work for the past couple years though and have made some progress, but I think a lot of it comes from that base where I focused only on compounds..
