Get 'er done!
Haha, grip is where the ride meets the smooth. I only used a belt once and I didn't like it... and that was wednesday. I did 150x5 beltless and then 152.5 x almost 5 with a belt and felt a no difference.
Linear progression and MICROLOADING is what I would recommend man. You need at least 1.25's to overload Press. 2.5's are too big of a jump.
i love you so muchlive.laugh.lift

Going to drop down to 360x5 monday, then 370x3 friday, then I'm gone. After I get back and get readjusted on the routine, I plan on hitting 375x5 before I max out at 405.

Diamond pushups: BWx9, +25x8, +35x8, +45x8
Notes
KILLED IT!!!! BEST WORKOUT IN A LONG TIME! Not to mention, this was fun as hell. I derailed from my squat progression because Sam was going all out today before he takes a couple weeks off for vacation, so i couldn't just do 360x3.
Also, I got one pint of blood taken out at 9 this morning, then lifted when I wasn't supposed to do any "strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for 12 hours" lol fcuk that. Baco the Pokemon master doesn't follow rules..... to a degree
Alec:
275x3 squat yea buddy
220x3 bench yeaerbuddy
185x5 rows pretty strict yayayaya
Sam: (prepare for epic)
335 x 9 squat!!! brb 4 rep PR and better form + 2" deeper lolwot
255 x 5 bench!!! brb just mad
225 x 7 rows!! fairly strict fuming
Videos soon. Got squat/bench/row/choc milk chugging lol
PWO Recovery action haha

Was just about to make a clever comment about you squatting 4065lbs, but then you fixed it lol
And I may make myself some 1.25 plates once i cant get 5+ reps on 5/3/1 week of 5/3/1, but todays workout i tried about 1/2" wider grip, thumbless and flexing lats as hard as I could and using them as a shelf (suggested by Jim Wendler), and made a +10lbs +1rep pr from last week
In4 Vids! Your gettin crazy strong man!

Wow strong warrior.. I got blood taken out last year and I opted out of my leg workout to the day after because I listened to the blood people when they said "strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for 12 hours" Mind=blown BRB they take out half a litre of blood and you still pull off a sick workout. 365 x 4 = 405 x 1, Im confident you can get it now, but if you wait will 375 x 5 your guaranteed to get 405. I'm enjoying the linear gains as well, BRB everything goes as planned youll have the 390x3 squat, fkin joooocy. Also mirin the new avi, keep up the great work brothah. Just curious you take anything preworkout?

I lol when thinking about lifting after giving blood because I have this weird fear that I am going to end up having blood shooting out of my arm if I push myself.

Haha man I was about to listen to them but it was already decided that Sam was gonna go for huge PR's today and my other WO buddies were planning on going today and not tomorrow. The original plan was to go and just motivate them, however IDK what happened but ALL day after they took out the blood I was hyper all day. Lol and then 2 hours prior to my workout my friend Alec was like, Mark,... I don't want you to pass out and die on squats or bench... do some pushups to make sure you're alright. So I did 40 pushups, ran around a bit, and was still fine. With that said, I had no doubt I would be fine in the workout.
I thought about that... I hit 275x4 before I maxed at 315x1 so it's possible .. but I don't want to fail and then be REALLY frustrated haha.
Yeah I take Jack3d. I've been taking it a while though so next friday I plan on taking 3 weeks off w/o any stims.
haha! That thought definitely crossed my mind, but it wasn't as bad as this image:
Just gotta sit down like you're taking a dump (have lots of practice)
Yes sir. 232.5 x 5... ahh snap. Big grinders FOR SURE.
Thanks! Haha, I never had friends lift with me consistently... until just a couple months ago. You'll find someone special (: there's always more fish in the sea (: wait I mean err more strong people in the gym....
Bench felt easy! With the exception of the 1st rep. Lol thanks man.live.laugh.lift

Man what the hell!!! You're friend is freaky strong and you're really not going to make this easy for me! Good
Going above and beyond? Cool Story Bro. Doing it with 1 less pint of blood? I think you've earned a sticker and a smile The sticker is in the mail :P
Nice work in there! You done good, so good I won't give you any crap for not making that fifth rep!! That and you got 70lbs on my squat(NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO F@$# D!!!! Guess that means not the monday coming up but the next i'll have to hit 500lbs on that Deadlift >: )"Success has been, and continues to be, defined as being able to get back up one more time then you've been knocked down."

Haha, I've missed ya buddy! Thanks for subbing!
Always going above and beyond ;D Do I get a noice gold star sticker!?!?!?!?
Haha, that 5th rep was mine. I'm skipping from 360 --> 370 anyway, so I'll just hit a 5lb PR + 1 rep PR when I go for 370x5.
500 lbs.... wtf...
lol no! Not yet!
Thanks
Weekend has consisted of sleeping, eating, and homework. lol. I woke up sick Saturday morning for some reason (maybe from blood drive, idk), and so I have been tired. Dominated English essay last night and completed a History project with my partner today. Time for a staff meeting, and then crash hard core.
Workout tomorrow looks like:
360 x 5 Squat
232.5 x 5 Bench
Chinups

Bill Starr's 5x5
Week 7 / Day 1
Squat
w/u
bar x 5
bar x 5
135 x 5
185 x 5
215 x 5
265 x 5
315 x 5
360 x 5
Last workout is on Friday, and that will have me @ 370x3, except I'm not stopping below failure on the last workout before vacation. 370x5 has potential Friday.
Bench
w/u
bar x 5
115 x 5
135 x 5
170 x 5
190 x 5
232.5 x 5!
No video, but this was solid. Just think of last week's 225x5 with a big grinder on the last rep, however cranking that sh*t up FAST once I passed my sticking point.
Pullup
BW x 5
+35 x 5(x2)
BW x 13
Not sure if a PR for bodyweight, but man those felt good. Deadhang; chin over the bar; fairly strict - 13 reps. Nice. Want to get up to 15+ again at 190 gym weight... gym weight is about 188 now.
Accessory
Calves: 3 sets
Notes
Great!! No Sam sadface meaning I had to find inner motivation. Nick as always was complaining about being tired and his knees. If you read this buddy, I apologize, but it's true.
Alec continues to smash PR's left and right:
Squat: 275x5
Bench: 215x5! Yess
Pullup: +35x4(x2); BWx12

Haha, you sure? Well, we'll see on Friday.
Arkansas! Visiting a good friend that moved a few months ago and also staying at my cousins. 2 in 1.
Hahaha, thanks so much PR! Yeah right, Mr. lean @ 200~ ish.
Haha I feel ya... but 188 isn't that impressive... i've been hovering around this for a couple months as well. Upping my eating the next couple weeks. Mom finally bought protein bars, so that will help get more protein/300 extra calories in over what I have been having.
What's your squat at now man?
Eating everything in sight. Appetite is through the roof right now, lol. Scale still hasn't been seeing changes, but I haven't weighed my morning weight in a couple weeks. I'll do it tomorrow if I take a morning sh*t.
Holy **** I'm nervous for Wednesday...
395x5 Deadlift
152.5x5 Press attempt again
I know I got press, because my bench went up 7.5lbs with the ease as before. Also, last time I just was not feeling it. Deadlift will be a tough obstacle to overcome. May just throw on 400lbs for the heck of it.live.laugh.lift
