Booyah Grandma, Booyah!
As the title says I'm giving it another go. This will be my 6th contest. My last two contests in October were less than satisfying as I didn't bring what I knew I had to. Since then I've maintained my weight while recovering my metabolism and joints. That time has passed and the time for deficit has arrived!
This is my first log or attempt at one. I've been shy I guess. Historically I've gone at it solo but this time around I’ve enlisted the help of Tommy - at least part time - for some added guidance. But who really cares about me blah blah blah-ing all over the place; let’s just see the pics right?
Notice the Stairmaster? Jealous? Yeah, you're jealous

Update
Diet Adjustment
Dropping from 2750cal to 2500cal - this is a modest cut since I've actually lost a lbf (< that's pound-force for you fellow engineers out there ) while at 2750cal. The carb/fat/protein breakdown I've switched to Tommy's method. Not sure if it's his proprietary mix so I won't share it here.
Injury
Shoulders at about 85% these days; they take forEVER to heal. Hamstrings I pulled playing broomball a month ago - yeah that's a real thing. I've banished myself to playing goalie so I can heal up. Apparently I'm not as flexible as I used to beLast edited by Agostage; 02-01-2011 at 07:03 PM.

Vibrams Report
They worked great for squats - instant stability. You can really feel the drive from the floor. It allowed me to focus more on the movement rather than whether or not my tennis shoes were going to buckle. If you wear them around in the gym you have to be careful because they don't offer much protection. I stubbed my toe at least twice. Other than that, so far so good. Looking forward to deads later this week.
Thanks! - somehow I managed to keep that condition through the holidays - while numming on pumkin pie - low carb?

15 Weeks
Down another week and weighed in at about 187.5ish this morning - fairly modest drop considering. I finally was able to do deads without hamstring pain. The weight isn't fully recovered; I suspect it will take a week or so. Assuming I didn't lose anything. Keeping everything else the same for now. I plan on taking pics every couple of weeks - we'll see how that goes.

Super Bowl
So I went to a friends place for the game and was asked when I can be fun again. I realized that by show day I will have been dieting for about 1 year. A bit long but I do plan on taking a long break afterward - since I'm supposed to be getting married at some point!
Vibrams w/ Deads
I did try the Vibrams with dead lifts and they were equally as useful. They really help connect you to the ground - and the 1/2" or so you gain in motion probably doesn't hurt eitherFounder of the University of Wisconsin Bodybuilding Club

In Gym Shot
Since the IFBB guys get to do it - thought I'd toss in a random gym shot today because somehow my arm looked hooge - gotta love illusion! But seriously, there's some hardcore favorable lighting going on there.

Thx man! - I'm not 1/2 ass'n it this time, I'm full ass'n it
Generally I would, but I started mid last year for two October shows - then I had work related issues as well as my own mistakes that led to a not-so-impressive showing. Basically I felt behind and unimproved and didn't have much fun at those shows. So instead of ending on that flat note and putting on fat with an offseason I decided to maintain, recover then hit it hard for spring leaving little chance of not finally achieving a sliced condition. If I do, then I know I'll have fun and I'll be at my best. Then I think I'll be in a good place to take some serious time to grow.Founder of the University of Wisconsin Bodybuilding Club

Video Attempt
I haven't tried posting any vids yet - lets see how it goes - here's some deadlifts for your enjoyment... notice what I call the high-ass form, well I'm 6ft and it works for me, that's my excuse.

Kinda Sick
I picked up a throat thing (stop thinking dirty!) - but it seems to be neck up which my dad used to say if it's neck up you can still play - referring to basketball at the time. I'm fairly pumped anyhow because I hadn't pulled 405x12 since before my hamstring pull in Dec. So it feels good to have some strength back while in a deficit.
