yeah that was you on voyager, they're fantastic. i hate pig destroyer and i'm not a huge fan of anaal nathrakh, but i'll check out the others.
but yeah, to add onto that, i love melodeath, prog, doom, and folk. i'm also getting into gothic metal more just as an outreach from doom metal i guess. i've kinda fallen away from more extreme music and gotten into more complex and melodic stuff lately. i used to love thrash but i barely listen to it anymore. and if anyone has any good power metal i'll check it out, i used to be a huge power*** but i've gotten 1 power metal album in like 12 months.Last edited by Seamless; 07-13-2009 at 07:43 PM.

no fans? lol go to any music review site and i guarantee you you'd come across them in clusters, Part the Second was self financed by Toby but a lot of the money came from fans who'd donated.
I don't 'not' like them, their older releases were good but i just don't understand how they get so much blind praise. The band is incredibly trendy in the underground 'alternative' music scene.

Well, what I meant about 'no fans' is in comparison to a lot of the modern **** and more known bands. you can't deny that they're relatively unknown outside of the music review sites. I wouldn't call any of their praise "blind" either, their music is incredibly well constructed and the lyrics are extremely well written. Trendy is arguable, but I really don't give a **** considering every band can be labeled as 'trendy'. but meh i'll continue to wank off to them and enjoy myself ever so much whilst doing so.

I'm not passing judgment on the the music itself, i don't even like the band, but if you'd been witness to the general reaction when Part the Second came out a few months back you'd understand what i meant by 'blind praise'.
But hey, i'm a massive Converge fan so when it comes to 'trendy' i'm in no position to speak.

It was really good, but then again I'm a raging fanboy so of course I loved it. And yeah, it was a free download off of their website (not sure if it's still up) where you could choose to donate or something like that. It's definitely their most chill album, but still has that classic motW vibe to it. very cool stuff.
