It's not BS if you like to save a few bucks on things you want. I am a thrifty shopper and usually wait for sales to make purchases. So far I have killed it on gear for ice and soft water fishing. I spent around $800 that would have cost me close to $1500 otherwise. Not done yet though, still a couple of items that I am looking for that haven't been reduced enough for me to pull the trigger. Maybe boxing day will cough them up.

I got a fantastic deal on some new snow tires for my truck. I also got myself a new hitch which combined with the new tires will really help me pull those heavier loads when driving through the snowy mountains near my house. I will also throw the snowmobiles on the back of the truck and take those into the mountains too. My dog (Rufus) loves to ride with me on the snowmobile. It should be a fun Winter!

It is going to snow here soon, so I think that I will get up early and change out the tires and install the hitch tomorrow morning. Really looking forward to it, but there could be a few small kinks in my plan that I need to work out. First, I don't own a truck. I've never owned a truck and I don't plan on ever owning a truck. Second, I do not own a trailer and there isn't a mountain anywhere near me as far as the eye can see. What the hell was I thinking?

I also just realized that I don't own a snowmobile and that Rufus doesn't exist either. WTF???
