Kickstart? Those have been extinct for years.
I kind of wish I had one now though.
It's not starting right now, started before I pulled it all apart though.
Cleaned out the carb which looked good anyway, forgot to check the reeds like a ****ing idiot when I had it pulled apart so I'll do that next.
Pulled apart the cylinder which looked alright but doesn't mean anything without doing a compression test.
So I'm just about at the point where I buy a whole new top end or a buy a decent compression tester for the same price... which will probably tell me I need a new top end.
And if I buy a new top-end do I get the cylinder as well and turn it into a 300? Seems like everybody wants a 300 these days, but I prefer the 250.
This all started from fouling plugs non-stop. Spooging bloody heaps too but have got a bad seal on the expansion chamber.
I could always try a hotter plug and run less squish but I don't really think I should have to.

Well after an entire season on the XR I still feel that it is a better bike overall than the SDGT. At least in their current generation. My XR is brentuned with an akrapovic header and wow does that wake it up. Compared to the KTM it's more comfortable, TFT is way better, bags are much higher quality, quickshifter is much smoother. It's easier to ride fast because while it WILL wheelie if you hammer it in dynamic pro mode, it's a lot easier to keep the nose down and effectively get the power to the ground.
That said, it's a screaming inline 4 and needs to be treated as such. Gears 1-3 are where the magic happens, 4-6 are geared pretty tall and really only meant for cruising. It likes to be revved so if I'm in an aggressive mood I usually cruise in 2nd in 45mph zones. It does not have the torque punch of the KTM but I'm sitting at 85/ft lbs at the wheel so it's certainly not coming up short either. If KTM can make improvements on their next generation I may consider a return because I loved the sound and the torque while impractical was hilariously fun. But as it sits today the BMW is much more well rounded.

It should not be this hard for me to find a body shop in Atlanta that can pull a quarter size dent out the tank and repray if necessary. Most shops won't touch it, smh. Only quote so far I got was $350 and even then if they have to repaint whole tank, I think I'll have replace all the stickers and tank pad so add another $100. Need to get one more quote from a shop if not I'll bit the bullet and pay the $350. Ebay so far has nothing. They selling tanks in far worst shape for $250+ lol.

Honestly bro,
I bet they are not wanting to touch it really because its a gas tank. The fumes are dangerous to work around. To pull it, they would probably drill a hole and yank it out.
Also, paint shops appear to put an entire car over fixing a single dent on a vehicle these days. I was recently told that painting whole cars is where the money is and they'd rather focus on getting those customers.☼ "Don't stop. Never quit. No excuses." ☼

Found a shop that could do it for $300. He said said he can save the stickers and repair and spot paint at the dent. Then he would clear the whole tank. Hopefully it comes out well, he said he's done tanks before. 5 star rating on Yelp for what it's worth, granted thats 99% car drivers.

Lil bit of road rash on my leg. Food hurts a little on the side she hit me on. Cut between my eyes from my glasses. Other than that I'm good.
More sad about my bike.
Her insurance company has over 500 reviews and a 1.4 rating. Most of the reviews are people saying they were hit by one of their customers and they're getting the run around now. The only youtube video that came up when I searched the company name was a law firm about how they give the run around after a crash, lmao.
I'll by calling my insurance Monday too because I'm not messing with some shady company who is out to play games. I just have Allstate.Being anti-2nd Amendment is like saying "We have too many rights, please take some away!"

Picked up police report today. In the clear as far as insurance. Still waiting on a determination on my bike. Adjuster is thinking totaled though just based on my pictures. We'll see.
Going out this weekend and looking at helmets. Allstate said just buy one and send the receipt, "but don't go too crazy." was what the claims department said.Being anti-2nd Amendment is like saying "We have too many rights, please take some away!"

Dam bro. I remember talking to you in the recently purchased thread. Glad you're okay but I remember you saying you had recently hopped back in the saddle after a hiatus and got your first new bike. Whether you decide to keep riding or not I wouldn't blame you either way but glad you're alright.
You gonna try to get another bike soon?

Going to pick up another is the plan.
Also my wife and I found out she is pregnant. At about 11 weeks now. So I'm looking at just a used Japanese cruiser. Just something to cruise on. Something I can pick up for 3-4k cash and be done with it.
Honda VTX1300
Honda Shadow 1100
Vulcan 900 if it was priced right.
Suzuki Boulevard C50 seems like a soild option... seems slowwww but Suzuki is still making the damn things brand new. It was the Volusia before the Boulevard... that's 20 years of the same bike.Being anti-2nd Amendment is like saying "We have too many rights, please take some away!"

"Don't go too crazy" lol lucky man. I just had my insurance call me yesterday about my bike and tell me it was a total loss. '19 ninja 400 they said they would give me $4,900 but I think I might negotiate a little more because I had frame sliders and stuff. I also have to send pics of all my gear to the girl that is handling my claim. The problem is, my boots and gloves are fine after the wreck, how can I go about getting the money for them if the pics look fine lol? Everything else is trashed tho since the ambulance had to cut em.

idk where to start - sorry you got hit firefighter, what kind of bike was it that was totaled? I'm personally not big jap cruiser guy but if I had to I think the Yamaha bolt looks neat, add that to your list. MTpockets im def mirin Ktm purchase v nice. royalryan def negotiate $$ - my car was totaled and I was offered like 3k and argued the **** out of it and ended up getting like 10k+ and more for other items in the car. Both of you should also claim motorcycle helmet and say the integrity of it is no good and unsafe after hitting the ground and it must be replaced- I had a baby seat in my car and they replaced it even though it was 100% fine and no baby in it, for that reason. GL men and stop crashing plz rip time omegasauce and as always rip Rhame. amen.
RIP KD brahs
