Sony: PS5 SSD Means Console Runs About ‘100 Times Faster’ Than PS4
Sony has revealed that the PS5 SSD results in the next-generation console running at around 100 times faster than PS4.
PS5 SSD Is A Huge Speed Boost Over PS4
Speaking during the company’s recent corporate strategy meeting, the hardware manufacturer outlined via a 17-page document a number of features for its new home console, with the SSD being a particular highlight of PS5’s technological achievements.
Check it out below, along with the accompanying image to illustrate the PS5 SSD.
In order to further enhance the sense of immersion in games, we expect to improve not just the resolution, but the speed of games.
For example, through a custom‐designed high‐speed SSD, we plan to realize game data processing speeds that are approximately 100 times faster than PS4.
Game load times should be much shorter, and players should be able to move through immense game worlds in almost an instant.
The console’s SSD has received a lot of attention from developers since it was revealed properly back in March, with Epic Games in particular heaping praise on the tech.
The PS5 is pencilled in for release in holiday 2020.

I can't believe the time I am putting into MW. Best COD since 4 IMO. Downloaded BioShock to start that like over a month ago now but every time I turn on my PS4 I want my MW fix, lol.
I wish Warzone wasn't so fawking ghey and if they made classic mode for all playlists and permanent I'd be hyped. But every other mode in the game is pure fire. Never thought I'd be saying well done Activision.

I got it on disc years ago and it was also free on PS Plus recently - if anyone here scored it for free and hasn't yet, you 100% should. Best platformer of the last 10 years except for maybe Super Meat Boy.
My 5 year old daughter plays co-op with me. I have to do the REALLY hard stuff but she can clear all of Toad Story on her own - she's a lot fukken better than I was at that age, holy crap.
We're at 670/700 teensies - just a few more "invasion" levels to clear and the golden Teensie is ours.Smooth Seas don't make Strong Sailors. Keep your head up.
MrWhiskey24 for jolly cooperation (PS)

The new last of us deep dive video looks pretty rad ... Even though it looks downgraded from the E3 2018 build (disappointing) it still looks pretty damn good. I played the first game in hard, but I feel like I'm going to play it in easy mode this time and just try and enjoy the story. The video they showed was fkkn stressful and tense ... With the levels being larger and more smarter varied enemies, no thanks Jeffery ... The first game was taxing enough with scary and jump scare moments, I'll probably just have a more mellow experience this time.

I love buying new tech and newer TVs have better input lag a refresh rate than my cuirrent TV but upgrading to a unit that doesn't have 8k or significantly better HDR at this point just seems like a waste, and those sets don't really exist for the average consumer yet.
Do you not enjoy it? I love the feeling of tension. But you describe playing it like you are having an aweful time, ha.

Nah I loved TLOU 1 ... Played it on Hard, Normal and Easy lmao. I usually played it in 1-2 hour bursts because that's the about the most I could handle the game (on hard difficulty that is), the hotel basement level in particular ooooo lawdy .... Playing through that the first time was nerve wracking and iirc I dont think I realised I had to turn on the generator or something so I remember I was just sprinting around in the dark getting mogged by runners, clickers left and right lmaooo. Obviously on my other normal and easy difficulties it was far better because I knew what to expect and I can just sit there for an extended time playing it.
This game I'll probably replay it again at some point on the PS5 so I'll play on hard then. Plus TLOU2 is releasing super close to my exams, so I also just wanna kinda breeze through it and see the story rather than having to invest the time to play properly on normal/higher difficulties while balancing study time.Sig line can't be a novel
