if you're 175 and want to get anywhere near those times (which i guarantee you wont) then you need to be squatting at least 3x your body weight. Even there not enough, try a 600 squat.

A good strength to mass ratio is 2x body weight for squat.

600 pounds shouldn't be too hard, its only 82 pounds over the national world record.

Ben Johnson could squat 2x6x600 with ease.

farz knows his stuff, so i'd listen to him. but as a rule of thumb, you can't expect to be anywhere near your potential until your full back sqaut 2x your bodyweight for 5 reps.

just clarifying, you mean full squat/ATG squat right?

Johnson used very low doses, plus the man is asking for a 4.3 and a 40 V, as I said anywhere CLOSE to that without monster genes means you need a 600 squat.

Also keep in mind johnson stopped doing deads in 1985, didn't use box squats or ATG squat and didnt do a whole bunch of stuff football guys do. That type of strength is more easily achievable for someone looking to be a 40 yard guy and not a 100m (not saying it's anywhere easy, but more easily).
