I always thought is was noble to serve. When I was little I loved war movies and the free college/GI bill was also a nice bonus.

Glad you made it home safe. That takes an amazing amount of guts to take charge of your life at 17 and make it through something like that.

I really want us out of Iraq but I'm proud as an American that we still have a generation of young people willing to serve in a conflict they didn't start and may not even agree with.

Dude, seriously, WTF. Why does it always come down to Branch rivalry. I wear a CIB with pride, but changed to 13F. I know you walk right next to those guys, and they are FA. Doing the same thing you are.

This war isnt like OEF, or any other war. Now everyone needs to know how to shoot leaving the gate. (I agree SOME don't)

Also with me being Infantry (Ex-Squad Leader) lets think smart here, we are a little more trained on the attack/defend part of our job as compared to most MOS, this could be used to provide a reason why we don't lose as many as other MOS's.

Dosent matter the job or location, what matters is where the guy wanting to kill an AMERICAN is that matters. That makes a difference.
