whey isolate and pregnancy - studies?

Does anyone know of any studies done to support taking whey isolate before/during pregnancy? My best friend saw that many protein supplements tell you to talk to your doctor first, so in spite of having taken a whey supplement for years she is now a bit concerned as they are planning to conceive. She will be asking the doctor, but I also hoped that maybe someone here might know of some studies or links they could share to information that might help reassure her in the meantime.

    Thank you so much!

I know a lot of people still take whey supplements while they are pregnant. I personally didn't while I was pregnant or nursing. I found this info. online, not sure if it is biased since it is on a whey protein website:

I also found this link, which says whey protein is fine but not to take soy protein while pregnant:

Hope this helps, sorry I know it is not a scientific study that you were probably looking for.

Thank you!! This is exactly the kind of info I was looking for, as I think it will help reassure her until she can get in touch with her doctor to double check.
