I'm going to be the first to say..I'd much rather have a 4g63 powered car (EVOLUTION) than a Subie, but at LEAST you got a STi and not a WRX (something everyone and their dog has around here).
I have a DSM (95 Eagle Talon TSi AWD) and I swear these 4g63 engines can take a beating...I would love to have a evo.
Good luck with warranty work too.
