Hey guys so I've been having trouble lately eating enough to hit that 3k calorie and 200g protein mark each and every day in order to bulk, but I finally found a solution that works for me and maybe it could help you guys out who are struggling also.
Anyway this plan is basically my bulking version of greg plitts mft28 liquid diet,
It consists of 5 protein shakes and 1 solid meal per day.
Each protein shake consists of 8oz of organic whole milk, 3tbsp of natural peanut butter, and one scoop of whey (I use optimum nutrition). This totals to be 550 calories and 53g of protein per shake.
5 shakes totals 2,750 calories and 265g protein.
These shakes are also incredibly easy to put down and I have no problems downing 5 a day compared to 5 or 6 actual meals.
Add in a 750 calorie meal and that's a total of 3500 calories and a whopping 300g of protein every day, easy peasy.
And these are all cheap ingredients, milk, pb, and whey.
This diet also has the advantage of quick absorption because the body doesn't have to digest the liquid like it does with food.
Hope this helps some of you and let me know what you guys think
Edit : actually each shake is 43g of protein bringing the total of 5 a day to 212g plus the solid meal.

I should simply lock this awful thread, but will allow it to proceed to it's natural conclusion.

What I don't get is how is this diet cheaper? A 5lb bag of frozen chicken breasts costs about 10-12 dollars. A 4oz chicken breasts provides approximately the same amount of protein as a scoop of whey. The 5lb pound bag provides 20 4oz servings. Meanwhile, a 2lb bucket of whey protein powder will set you back around 25 dollars, and give you around 21 servings.
Putting it more simply and going by about 25 grams of protein per serving:
5lb bag of frozen chicken breasts will provide 500 grams of protein: 12 bucks
2lb bucket of whey protein powder provides 525 grams of protein: 25 bucks
I really don't think I need to lay out the math to explain that you pay nearly twice as much for the 'convenience' of powder.C'mon abs! I know you're under there!

Chicken at my local meijer is generally $3-4/lb
That being said maybe chicken is still cheaper, but chicken is just so boring to me, and I don't have the appetite to eat 5-6 whole meals a day, especially boring chicken breasts..
Additionally chicken takes much longer to cook, and I am also unable to cook while at work or school.
And lastly, chicken provides good protein, but not enough calories. An 8oz chicken breast is under 400 calories

Strong variety. Good luck with your health goals of 2015. Not to mention you don't need anywhere near that amount of protein. Hell, I scale back my protein when I'm bulking. Carbs in abundance are protein sparing. No need for excessive protein intake, especially considering that it's the most expensive macro nutrient.
Bulking for me is chicken salad BLT's, meat sauces with pasta, chili, pizza, cheeseburgers, etc, etc. Higher calorie targets really let you cook all kinds of exciting stuff. Fattier cuts of meat, more options to add flavor. You're missing out OP.

I like to eat. In fact all throughout high school I had the appetite of a beast, they used to call me the human vacuum because I never stopped eating. Not sure what changed other than puberty stopping but now my appetite is shot.
I love eating and trust me I've been trying to bulk for months now and watching the scale closely every week with no results.
I find that I will eat successfully one day (I.e. 3500 calories from solid sources) but the day after I'll have a long work shift and since I'm running constantly (I'm a waiter and it gets busy leaving me no time to eat) I'm burning calories and not eating nearly enough so it just offsets the day before.
