Do most of you fart while lifting? I've never really thought about it before, but I just read this article about how some people think that farting helps and that there was even a small study done on whether it helps with strength training or not. Just wondered what everyone elses thoughts were on this.

That is the funniest picture ever!!! hahha!
anyway... I was doing a super dee DUPER heavy ass set of dips once.
And my spotter gets up right behind me (my ass right in hisface) and he starts helping me by my hips (3rd rep) and using all the force I can to get my body up.. I blasted one just inches from his face!!!
YESSSSSS!!!! GOT 'EM!!! *pounds fist on table* WOOOOOOO!
you would think it would give me the rocket effect and propel me up for that 3rd rep.. but noThe Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and hear all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds. ~Henry Rollins

i usually stain my drawers on lower body days- not quite solid, but definitely a bit chunky
i'm hardcore though so i deal with it. it's a point of pride, actually."If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Fart when working out? We've all done it! I'll walk away from where I'm working to a secluded area, drop an SBD, and hope emission trails don't lead others to the location of the offender (me).
Occassionally, when I'm repping out on the leg press, especially when my knees are tucked to my chest before I push the sled up, I'll admit...I rip one. I have my mp3 blasting so sometimes I can't tell if it sounded as loud as it felt or if it even made noise at all. That's where the wonders of loud music piped in via speakers and tv's all over the gym come in handy."Bodybuilding is a lifestyle...I'm just trying to live it as large as I can."
