Here is my review of the new verison of Substance WPI Watermelon, mixing 1 serving in 8oz water, with 2 ice cubes.
Mixing
It mixed well, with the only clumps being small and up on the grid of the shaker. However it did foam up and went from 8oz of liquid to 12oz after mixing, however it went back down after sitting for around two minutes. Overall I would say a 9 out of 10
Taste
Good taste, tasted similar to watermelon gatorade, just weaker. Aftertaste was mild. 4 out of 5
Texture
Smooth as can be, not gritty or anything. 5 out of 5
Overall
Solid product, would buy again. Would Recommend to anyone who likes watermelon. Final Rating, 9 out of 10

I received my Watermelon Substance WPI today.
Went ahead and mixed some up for my postworkout shake.
I intend to mix this different ways to see how it turns out using different methods...and today for PWO I chose to stir with a spoon, mixed in water.
Taste
Very pleasant. Defintely tastes like watermelon. It's not overly sweet and doesn't have that syrupy taste. A little creamy, as well...in a good way.
8 out of 10
Mixability
Mixes very well with a spoon. Often times, a protein will say that it mixes instantly with a spoon, but it doesn't. This stuff mixes up really well. There was very little residue left on the side of the cup after mixing and nothing grainy or gritty at the bottom of the glass. No foaming whatsoever.
9 out of 10
Overall
I can't say anything bad about this product. It smells good, it tastes good, it mixes well...as long as you like watermelon, this is a fantastic protein. This is honestly the best tasting, best mixing, best overall pure whey protein I've ever used. I can't comment on any gains it may help impart, but it gets the thumbs up from me!

I just mixed up some WPI in a shaker cup and it does foam up pretty well. I didn't bother to let it sit to see if it went down...I assume it does since the other guy said that his did. I just drank mine while it was all foamy. It wasn't too bad.

had watermelon substance wpi for first time today, i was impressed. mixed it in about 8 oz water, 1 scoop.
Taste:
Aside from muscle milk, this is easily the best tasting protein ive ever had. im usually an optimum guy, but this is far and away better tasting. 9.5/10
Mixability:
Used a shaker bottle with built in grate type mixer thing. Only had 1 marble size clump, could have probably mixed perfectly but shaker leaked a little so i had to stop (how frickin hard is it to make a non-leaking shaker?) 8/10
Overall:
Like I said, easily best tasting whey ive ever had. Mixed just fine, no aftertaste, and at a decent price. 9/10
I highly recommend everyone to give this a shot next time they put their order in.

i don't think i said that it was perfect, but here is my reasoning, if what i wrote wasn't enough.
taste is very good...very pleasant, but it wasn't like muscle milk where i am like "holy crap i could live off of this stuff!" but it also doesn't have 18g fat per serving.
i gave mixability with a spoon a 9, b/c it mixes very well w/ a spoon, but there were a few specks left on the sides of the cup. with a shaker, I'd give this an 8/10. today i used a hand blender to mix up the WPI and I'd give this a 10/10 with a hand blender. mixed perfectly.$157 billion creates 650,000 jobs = $240,000 cost to create or save 1 job

Watermelon Substance is my all time favorite protein.
PROS
-Great flavor. Not only is this a great change of pace from chocolate/vanilla/strawberry but I actually look forward to drinking it. Its not too sweet, and has just enough flavoring added in to taste the watermelon but it doesnt overpower the consumer.
-When mixing into warm (room temperature) water, it takes 5 seconds of stirring and its mixed great. I usually mix it into room temperature water, then add 1-2 cubes of ice.
-Not "chalky" or gritty.
-Has all the basic benefits of a WPI.
CONS
-CANNOT be put in a blender. It will foam up like crazy. However thats common with any WPI.
-If you try to mix it in very cold water, it gets clumpy. However, again, thats common with WPI.
I'll definitely be buying this again. I was always very against WPI and stuck with WPC. But i can't go back after tasting this lol

i don't want to get too off topic here, since this is a review thread, but I will try mixing it up again tomorrow with my hand blender, without ice at first and then probably throwing some ice in after it's blended just to see what happens.

Beast and Layne gave me about 30 packets of it at the arnold classic this year, and i loved it. I bought a container of it just about a month ago. It mixes well, it's not clumpy, tastes great...I can't complain. It's one of my favorite protiens out there.

i tried mixing the WPI again today with the hand blender...and once again it came out freakin perfect. I use a 200 watt Braun hand blender...and it does a damn good job. i don't have a regular stand up blender, so i can't compare.

Just tried the New Improved Substance WPI - Watermelon (comparing it to the first version).
Taste: 9/10.. I was impressed ! It has a very realistic sweet (and slightly sour) flavor that completely masks any whey taste. There is little or no aftertaste, which is important to me.
Mixability: 10/10... 100% Improved ! With the new version I had no foaming and it mixed instantly...
Texture: 10/10 Even though there appeared to be tiny little clumps... you can't taste or feel the clumps when you drink it.

Review for Substance WPI New and Improved Juicy Watermelon
I just received a nice little packet of the new watermelon formula.
Taste: 10/10
I mixed it with 4oz of water like the package said. My first impression after mixing it was that it smelled like a jolly rancher. I took my first sip and I was amazed how awesome it tasted. You could not even taste the whey. I hope it’s in there because I can’t believe it tasted this good . I can feel a trace of an after taste but since it tastes so good, that’s fine with me.
Mixability: 9/10
Again, as stated above I mixed it with 4oz of water and it mixed very well. I know people said they had foaming issues with the old version. There was no foaming of any sort with this one. It took about 14 stirs to dissolve the product. There were still a few pieces, but you could not taste them when consumed.
Overall: 10/10
This is an excellent product. I will be adding it my supplement list. Anyone know the break down of the BCAA’s and Glutamine?
